Art Hotel on York Reviews

Comfortable, elegant and quiet

It's not in the city center, but it's only a few minutes' walk away. One of the important reasons for choosing it is that it has a parking lot for easy parking. The hotel is quaint and was renovated from an old house. The corridors are full of artworks. It seems to be the property of an Argentinian artist owner. . It's because of the old house, so the room is relatively small.

It's very stylish, and it looks like a very old house at first glance. You can take photos everywhere, and it’s convenient to park early. There’s a huge wine supermarket nearby. The bed is also very retro, and little people have to climb on it

Very good, but very relaxing

A very unique hotel, full of artistic atmosphere, with many hanging paintings in the corridor. I don’t know why it is translated as old bakery hotel. Maybe the hotel was renovated from an old bakery.

Excellent all round. Staff were very positive in responding to our Ned's.My wife is wheelchair bound and the response was an upgrade to a stainless entry. We were very impressed. We have not had such a positive response before anywhere in Australia or Europe. Thank you

We really were very comfortable in our accomodation. The decore and size of the room made it very pleasant to stay when the rain kept us from venturing too far. This is a beautiful and convenient area to walk around the see older style homes. It is not far to go for dinner or grab supplies either. There is also off street parking . We were very happy to stay here and would recommend it for short stays, for business trips and sightseeing.

Very large bed and quite dated hotel. Part of the charm but service and availability of front desk are limited. Rooms size is OK, rooms are clean, showers are OK, location is a bit of a walk to city centre. Quite pricey room for what you're getting.

The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night waking up with my shoulders and back aching. The shower pressure was really low making the shower water flow really slowly. I wouldn't recommend this property if you're staying in Launceston.

Great hotel, very comfortable & stylish rooms, good size bathroom, friendly staff. We loved the art hotel, perfect location for us, close to town & facilities, easy access to the airport & highway. We would stay again when in Launceston, good value for money.

Totally enjoyable. I had to change nights at the last minute and they accommodated me and even gave me an upgrade! Room was beautiful and Gordon was extremely helpful with questions and suggestions. Good location too. Also, extremely good value for money....actually hard to believe it was so good for the price!

Incredibly comfortable bed - good shower, location close to town/restaurants etc (walkable) and good on-site parking. The best coffee & breakfast in town is Tatler Lane, had a great steak at the Jailhouse grill - both an easy stroll away. Host Gordon was most accommodating to some changes I needed.

We changed our travel plans and decided to head up to Launceston for a night at the last minute and booked a room here. We arrived early and they let us check in and gave us an upgrade! A wonderful hotel with so much character, clean and lovely staff. We will be back next time we are in Launceston
