Gave this hotel a second try as we had an appointment in Edinburgh and it’s quick to get in to the city it’s easy to find, cheap, lots of parking, fast friendly check in, clean room, quiet hotel- down side - the window in the room was open when we arrived and the room was freezing and the heating didn’t seem to heat up fast enough not sure it even worked, breakfast wasn’t the normal standard, I wasn’t offered tea or coffee as the machine was behind the bar, I was given instant coffee warm water from a flask, no cutlery on the table, again the room was freezing, poor selection of continental foods, but the cooked breakfast was very very good , when we got back to the room the room had a smell of damp and the towels had a damp smell that prophet out window was wide open hen we arrived . Think the next time I will travel the extra ten minutes and go to Musselburgh

On booking online I could not find a way to book a normal room and had to take a plus room. The signage to the PI was not clear because of poorly placed signs and foliage overgrowth. While the room and breakfast experience was pretty much PI, the evening food was on the wrong side of adequate. Of note the Tortilla chips was a hand full of nachos on a plate with a spoonfull of salsa. Technically correct but...

Dated but clean room, slow WiFi. Noise levels from other guests affect the experience. I was given an interconnected room, which a young family was using on the other side of the door. Children being noisy are inevitable, as a parent myself I understand this. However, I politely asked the reception if I could move rooms due to the fact I could hear everything and was told no. Noise continued throughout the night, with the upstairs guests sounding like they were stomping back and forth at midnight, children crying and screaming through the interconnected door at 3am and 5:30am. A poor experience in which perhaps interconnected rooms should be allocated for families only as opposed to business travellers.

The place is close to my friend, also got a relatively good price as well. You need to have a car to get around as there is no bus stop nearby. The room was comfortable, cosy. The doors were a bit noisy when people shut them. The facilities are good, tea and coffees.

Room was very good, restaurant and bar very poor, limited items for dinner and only bottled beer available. Bed was excellent as usual. Parking access is very good. I have stayed here 3 times now and this was the worst time by far. I was there for a family funeral and just wanted a bit more customer care.

Very nice clean hotel. Well worth the money. Rooms are very well presented and modern. I would recommend. Very easy accessible with plenty of parking. Very secure once your in. Shower is very powerful with lovely Baylis and Harding lavender shower gel which smells fab. I have actually bought myself some from boots.

It’s a dated premier inn but clean, with a comfortable bed and fairly quiet staff are nice with lots of free parking the breakfast was very very good - down side it’s a little dated and the bar/restaurant has very limited opening time with a limited menu to me it looks like the owners have suddenly closed down bar and premie inn staff have stepped in to run the restaurant for hotel guests only the breakfast is not all you can eat but it is made to order the coffee machine isn’t working and the gents toilets are closed so you have to use the disabled toilets - they are trying their best
