Recommended if you like old sensibility. It's a lot colder at night than I thought. It's not too far from the airport, so it's easy to get around. And all leisure activities are reserved.

Let's start with the conclusion, this is a black shop. Although the hotel tastes good, the hotel facilities and services make you feel very strange. 1. There is no toothbrush provided. I can understand for environmental reasons, but is it possible to inform guests at the time of booking? After checking in, I found that I didn't have a toothbrush, so I couldn't go out and buy another one. Later, I complained to Ctrip, and the hotel finally provided it; 2. The breakfast will be sent to you in the refrigerator at 6 o'clock the night before. There are only bread, cakes and drinks, not even eggs. When the refrigerator is opened the next day, the bread and cakes are dripping with water; 3. The above two points are nothing. The remote control of the air conditioner in the room of the Black Coral Villa is broken, and the temperature cannot be adjusted or turned off. The store also said that I was not controlling the air conditioner close enough. Please, my bed is under the air conditioner! I froze to death in the middle of the night because they didn't even have a quilt! I didn't even ask the waiter, only the dirty, small and poor-quality blanket in the picture 3 was sent. I would never encounter a situation where there is no quilt in a hotel where I live at 300 yuan! My daughter had diarrhea with the air conditioner blowing all night, and her travel plans were ruined 4. The floor is very dirty, everything is very dirty, there is a layer of ash in every corner, my mother wiped it for two hours, they quibble that the wooden floor can't be wet so it is not clean, but the bathroom showers are directly flushed on the wooden floor , is this self-deception?

Came for lunch, then chilled by pool and ended up staying for dinner it was so good. Artsy resort with retreat vibes and the pool area is just lovely. Apparently the pod hotel rooms are awesome, but can’t vouch for that myself. The service was also tres bien. All in, made for a lovely day…

A good picturesque resort resembling a local village with the rooms being wooden structures on stilts. Its a rural setting looking out over wetland on one side, a veey nice outlook in the mornings eating breakfast. Wood and rural means a not entirely sealed structure so you sleep under mosquito nets with supplied electric repellents, which worked, no bites in 4 nights. The rooms can get hot so run the a/c for several hours before bed. Modern amenities as well as a/c with good WiFi, fridge, tea and coffee facilities. A basic continental breakfast is delivered around 6.30pm for the following morning for you to prepare and eat on your balcony. Unless you are in the Blue room which has no balcony. And eating there indoors is not comfortable. Breakfast is also a bit limited. Bread with butter and jam, cake, some fruit and yoghurt, juice tea or coffee. If you don't like yoghurt, not a lot. The rooms are set well apart from each other in a pleasant garden area with a good size lap pool. Usually quiet around the pool although it did get busy one day when 3 of the rooms were occupied with families of 2 children each. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, the iced water at poolside in the afternoons was particularly appreciated. The restaurant was of a very good standard. Well prepared and presented dishes with great service. Food deserving of a bottle of wine which was available from R105 a bottle. Main dishes from around R50 upwards. There is one big negative, the nearby mosque. I don't mind the morning call to prayer at sunrise, its local culture. But I've never experienced a 10 minute loudspeaker preamble 1 hour before sunrise, at 06.00. Then another 10 minutes at 06.30. Then another ten minutes at 07.00. Its like the mosque is next door, there is no ignoring it to get a good night's sleep.

Such a pretty resort. My husband and I just spent a night at this resort and it was beautiful. We loved our bungalow, the morning breakfast (which we enjoyed watching the sun rise on our small deck), and the resort's focus on helping stray animals.

Best Malayan meal of our holiday! We sat in the beautiful gardens. Staff brought out fans, lights, insect repellent coil thing. House special, Beef rendang, chicken satay, fried rice, mango and pickled veg. Apple, macadamia sponge pud with cula malaca ice-cream, kambucha to drink. So good! Great service and price. Can’t recommend enough.

Beautiful, traditional resort with a very chilled out feel. Really enjoyed our stay and it was just what we needed after visiting Kuah in the south of the island. Restaurant is excellent and the staff are so lovely. Would be lovely to go back one day.

Bon Ton Resort is a 10min away drive from Langkawi Airport. We rented a car for easy moving around eating and buying duty free stuff. It’s nearby Lassie a place and cafe for dog and cats adoption. This villa is equipped with a pool , Nam restaurant and free wifi . I particular choose the white frangipani room that has a single bed for my girl. What I enjoy the most about bonton is the Netflix, the wooden tub and also the friendly service from the staff especially Syamir that served us. When we arrived at bonton, we get to unwind with a glass of wine. Wow 🤩 that is amazing Would strongly recommend and comes back again as I feel relaxed and feel so cosy just chilling around the sun deck area. Not noisy and you will be surrounded by nature and breath in cool refreshing air

Wow what a place to call home for 3 nights while we stayed in Langkawi. For those that are a little more rustic and dont need a huge hotel then this is the place for you. The staff welcome you as if you are entering their home with a welcome drink. The cabins are all unique and well serviced. Its hot and the air conditioners are doing the best they can to cool everything down but its so special. The restaurant was actually a pleasant surprise and you could easily have multiple meals here without feeling bored. Great choice of wines and cocktails as well!

A beautiful setting with lush green grass and palm trees and lovely pool. There is a golf course construction going on but it wasn’t progressing whilst we were there. The staff here are amazing- we were welcomed with a welcome drink and they were so attentive and kind. Our kids loved all the foster cats and dogs that live here. The villas are quaint, although we found them extremely hot and even with the air con found sleep difficult. It is best to swim in the pool in the morning as it heats up during the day (almost like a bath). The deck by the pool has some nails that stick out- take care! Make sure you use the mosquito nets provided. The restaurant is lovely and always cool- one or two Malaysian options. Thank to the incredible staff for our stay!

I have been wanting to stay in one of their unique villas for years! I have only visited the restaurant for dinner. Our stay exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the manger with a welcome drink of our choice! We were also surprised to get an upgrade to an even bigger villa since the last guests were staying longer in the villa we had booked. The charm of the villas is hard to describe, it’s like you are going back in time to stay in a luxurious, huge, ancient villa. All of them are different. The property is beautiful too and the pool was very refreshing on the hot day. The restaurant has wonderful food, people come here just to dine in this beautiful setting. We loved it!

We’ve never failed to come here to eat the last few times we’ve been in Langkawi, but we’ve never actually stayed at the Bon Ton before although 4 years ago we stayed at the then-sister resort, Temple Tree. We had booked the Silk Villa which has the requisite amount of space needed as a family of 5. My points to note from our stay: 1) I’m glad we booked this when our daughter was a bit older, she’s 4 now and capable of moving around autonomously. I think the accommodation would be less suitable with younger kids. 2) After a while, the continental breakfast which consisted of sliced bread (very nice homemade bread by the taste of things), yoghurt, milk, cranberry juice and cake delivered and placed in your fridge the night before, got a little old and tiresome. After the third day we took to hunting out hot local breakfasts. 3) Amenities provided include shower gel, shampoo, bath salts and a bar of soap. There are no shower caps or anything extra, so bring those along if you’d like them. In the room they do provide umbrellas and walking slippers to use which was much appreciated. 4) You can use the pool towels to take to the beach. Return them at the end of the day to the dirty towels basket. 5) My husband is vegan, and it wasn’t easy getting him food. I thought the restaurant might cater more vegetarian options but it didn’t have much although the kitchen was happy to try. 6) Mosquitoes - I made the mistake of thinking closing all the windows and doors before sunset and the use of mosquito netting and a mosquito coil was sufficient to keep us bite-free during the night. It wasn’t, my daughter and husband ended up with multiple bites after the first night. So in the end I shut all windows and doors by 4pm, placed the netting around the beds and sprayed the room with mozzie spray before we left for any afternoon/evening activities. By the time we got back the smell had dissipated and we had more pleasant nights after that. Overall, this is a truly unique, boutique place to stay. You have a certain amount of privacy, the attached shelter for cats and dogs are great for those wanting to teach kids how to give back to the community and ours loved going over to pat the cats and dogs, and the staff are lovely. If you want a personal touch and a taste of authentic Malaysian living, perhaps you can’t get better than this. Thank you Bon Ton, it’s been magic.
