You get the feeling you are in the country as two cows are on the field opposite the hostel. I liked the lady in the reception. They have a bar and play loud music the whole evening which I think is wrong while the spot the hostel is in is in a peaceful area. There a few amazing local little restaurants in the small lanes close to the hostel no need to go to the restaurants on the main road. Breakfast was very nice, scrambled eggs, toast, jam and butter, coffee or tea. Great you get a cubicle with a curtain so you have a little room.

Where are the 6 stars? We have booked a short-term rebooking and thus done everything right. Booked with a host and departed as friends. The very hearty host Didi and his lovely wife Goy have provided us with all information around the island, food excursions and great beaches as if we were his guests for years. Breakfast was top and always fresh made. The rooms were top clean and it was all available what you needed and if you needed something then it was no problem to get. The roller drive was also easy even if it was on the left side. About, We're extremely happy to come back!!!

Great experience in Datai Langkawi. The best resort hotel in Langkawi or in Malaysia i would say. Nice atmosphere if you like to be in a quiet and serene place. Great food and great hospitality. A special shoutout to Hafizam for the guest attending service and Gaurav from the The Dining. Also to the Botanists Ms Ezy. Will come back for sure!

My stay at the St. Regis Langkawi was underwhelming. Despite the high price tag, the room was average at best, with outdated decor and amenities. The service was lacking, with slow response times and a lack of attention to detail. I arrived with my guests for a short 3 days 2 nights getaway. It started when we arrived we were told the hotel is experiencing high occupancy and was told to wait till it was past check-in time for check in. We were also told to check daily with the concierge to see if we could get a late checkout. We booked 3 rooms but in the end only 2 were granted the request. I was told to wait at a meeting room while waiting for my guests from the other 2 rooms which I rejected. After repeated requests with the concierge the manager stepped in and put us at another room with default while waiting for our guests. The breakfast staffs were excellent and prompt in delivering world class service. However the dining options were overpriced and the overall atmosphere felt impersonal. I expected more from a luxury hotel like the St. Regis, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. I told the manager that I might not consider St Regis Langkawi again.

We stayed at TheSmith-House, a great hotel. It was very clean, from the room to the towels! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. We stayed for four nights, the breakfasts were good. Always something new. Despite the fact that it was next to the airport and the windows overlooked the road, but nothing was heard. The staff was great. In general, if we come back, we will only come back here!

Hotel was very clean & comfortable, staff were friendly ,polite & helpful. Great aircon. Had a couple of issues, the shower kept going hot & cold & the swimming pool drainage panels were very loose & kept banging very loud every time somebody walked over them. We reported this to the manager & he changed our room, which the shower worked perfectly. His answer was that the hotel was at full capacity & could not do anything about the shower. They did send the maintenance crew to fix the drainage panels to no success, but at least they tried. Very limited sunbeds& and if you want 1, you have to get up at the cracking of dawn. Overall, it's a good hotel in a fantastic Location.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff are the nicest I have ever come across!!! They can’t do enough for you. The reception staff also very helpful and everyone was super friendly. Best location surrounded by restaurants all across the strip and very lively although once at the hotel you have your tranquility of the beach which is amazing. Thank you so much to all the staff

The view in Room 1038 was just speechless. One of the nicest and the best view to admire from the room. I thank you wholeheartedly for upgrading us to this stunning room with a stunning view. I wish I was still waking up to this view. Thank you so so much for our complimentary late out until 4pm. We are grateful for this gesture and we would definitely be back. We have observed a couple of hotel members who have gone beyond miles to make their guests stay pleasurable and they have definitely delivered their top notch service, no doubt. Names are “Choon” who worked by the poolside bar and “Kelvin” who works as a H/Chef at Cassia. We made our gratitude to Choon on 8th March upon our departure. However, I wasn’t able to send our regards to Kelvin as he was off on Saturday. I have also left a review for Kelvin how wonderful his Culinary Skills were and as a Guest at the Hotel, we appreciated how effortlessly all of these members have worked.
