Best Hotels near Terra Mitica, La Marina Baja

We travelled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 4. We stayed the last week of the August UK school holidays. We chose this hotel as we are fans of the Melia chain. Whilst looking we found the hotel available as part of Jet2 holidays and this worked out the cheapest way for us to book. In summary we had a fantastic stay, and the hotel was everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel, just so good. For us though, the kids club staff (who also doubled up as part of the evening entertainment team some nights) were just so much fun, they were great with the kids but also just gave the hotel a generally good friendly vibe- top marks to them all. Now some other points in detail:- Pros - We were the first transfer drop off from the airport and it was a relatively short transfer time of approximately 40 minutes. - Hotel never felt overly busy despite it being August. There were busy spells during peak dining times but only short queues. At some points we had the pool to ourselves. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols available at all times. -the energy and enthusiasm of the Kids Club staff we found to be excellent. Although the activities are mainly in Spanish the staff tried hard to include our children by translating game instructions into English. There is a good programme of events for children - slime making, T-Shirt design, pool inflatables, mini disco etc. parents are able to stay with the children for a session or sign them in and out for the hour and a half. Should the management read this then perhaps they could include English clues in the pirate treasure hunt as this would also have helped to improve their experience at little cost. - the pool and evening entertainment team. My husband and I enjoyed the daily programme of exercises which had a great vibe. As a family we enjoyed the evening shows especially the Grand Circus which was Greatest Showman based and Mamma Mia. Con - Unfortunate first impressions. After an early start and a long day of travel to be greeted by a long queue at check in and only 2 staffed points was a disappointment. We waited for about 30 minutes and we were lucky enough to have joined the queue when it was fairly small. I feel this could have been easily resolved by a third member of staff ‘working the queue’, this person could explain the activity timetable and map of the resort which seemed to be adding to the length of time needed to check in. After our wait we were told that our room was not even ready and to wait for a call from check in or return at the check in time of 4pm. With children flailing we wearily returned to check in at 3:00 having had no call to be told we could check in so perhaps our call had been missed. I’m just glad we didn’t wait until 4pm! - if you are on half board it is worth noting that breakfast finishes at 10:30am and the evening meal isn’t until 8pm. There is an ice cream parlour open and a couple of other restaurants should you wish to pay for lunch. Full and half

Great little hotel right on the beach front next to shopping street. Great views from the balcony overlooking the sea and palm trees. Was a great place to stay and good value. Had breakfast at cafes nearby as I prefer that than in the dining room indoors (doesn’t have outdoor seating) especially as it’s all so close or just sitting with my own food on the lovely sunny balcony.

The hotel was great .. i was all inclusive .. in a double room .. the food was really nice .. good selection for breakfast lunch and dinner .. could be a bit more fruit .. entertainment wasnt as good as last time but it is understandable as not so many guests The staff were brilliant , very helpful and friendly , the entertainment team were excellent ! The room was very spacious , clean and warm , kettle supplied with selection of tea and coffee , uk tv and nice balcony . The price was good for 2 people but i was on my own and did not get a discount .. it would have been brilliant if there was a single person discount

Excellent hotel, a lot of variety in the buffet, it is located to go to various points in the city, the staff's attention is excellent, we buy excursions at the hotel which is more practical, they help you with what you need, we will surely return, 100% recommended, The facilities are very good and at night the show was great, from my point of view a luxury hotel in all aspects

Just got back from a great week in Benidorm at the Agir Springs Hotel. Halfway to the airport at 6 am I realised I had left my purse containing money, cards and driving licence etc. on ringing the hotel Romilio on reception asked to speak to my benniconnect coach driver and between them arranged for the next coach to bring it to the airport for me! Unbelievable aftercare!! Thank you so much for all the help, I am eternally grateful!! The hotel was lovely and clean, Bea our maid was excellent all week. Yes there was a sheet only on the bed but reception got me a blanket upon request. Can’t fault the place for being so central to all areas and will stay here again and recommend. The rooftop pool was lovely with sea views. Room huge! Like a suite, huge shower room. Room 412 had 2 balconies too! Don’t have one complaint about anything. Looked after and helped above and beyond. My husband and I have just returned from a week's stay in the hotel. It was our first time visiting Benidorm and if we return we will definitely choose this hotel again. Our accommodation was half board, breakfast and evening meal both excellent every night. The pool and sunbathing areas are expansive considering everything is high rise in central Benidorm. The room was well appointed, beds changed every couple of days, towels daily, tea/coffee making in every room, hairdryer good, toiletries lovely quality. The bottle of complimentary water on arrival is very welcome particularly if your arrival at the hotel is very late as ours was. On checking-in the hotel gave us a bag containing a sandwich, slice of cake, an apple and an orange and a small bottle of water, wonderful service. Same leaving, we were missing either lunch or dinner so the hotel made us a lunch bag with sandwich, salad, apple, orange, loquat, carton of juice and a small bottle of water, again wonderful service. The staff throughout the hotel are professional and obliging, every question/query was answered with a smile and always positive. There is entertainment in the hotel every evening. The walk to the beachfront is only minutes away and the ***** also very close, about 10-15 minutes walk. Key safe has a refundable €10 deposit and pool towels a €5 refundable deposit each. All-in-all a superb stay, keep up the good work RH Princesa.
