HOTEL Tomiya with M's

Kyoto Station
Hotel is situated in a good location. Just opposite of Kyoto station. I recommend to go there via the station’s main exit, rather than the underground exit. The exit via underground is A5, but can be difficult to locate for the first time. Amenities are basic, nothing fancy or extra. It’s a self check in/out hotel, although they do have staff on call if needed. The doors are all electronic using a passcode, so might be a bit of a challenge for elderly people to operate if not used to. Overall, a very nice hotel. Highly recommend if you need to get around in Kyoto using the public transport.

Kyoto Station
The room is big and the location is good, it's very close to JR Kyoto Station, about 7 or 8 minutes' walk. I chose this hotel twice when I came to Kyoto. There is a Family Mart and many restaurants next to the hotel.

Kyoto Station
It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. I stayed in a standard twin room, but I was able to spend a relaxing time in a room that was perfectly large even if I spread a large suitcase. There are also 6 coin laundry units, which is appreciated for long-term stays. It seems that a group of school excursion students was staying there, and I was worried that I could hear a slapstick noise at a fairly late time. There is also a convenience store, so it's very convenient, but it was very disturbing because a group of school excursion students was shopping and it was very crowded, and I didn't know how to use the self-checkout and was making a fuss. It was. Isn't it shifting such shopping time or the school side manages it? Apart from that, I was able to spend comfortably without any problems.

My friend and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The staff was nice and kept our luggage for us so that we could go out and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto. First impression, the exterior looks very Kyoto-esque, and the interior has a little hint that the brand is from Thailand. We got a room on the basement floor, which at first felt a little weird, but it was nice, clean, and had a window that allowed us to see the sky and get some fresh air. There was no moldy smell at all, which was a relief. Also, we spent most of the day outside anyway. Room is as cozy as the name suggests in the booking and it is super clean. The size is standard for Japan, with a smart design that includes normal-sized luggage storage under the bed. Bed is soft and the linens are clean. Only weird thing at first was that the sink is separate from the bathroom. But on second thought, maybe that's a good thing; one person can take a shower while another can brush their teeth. The shower room has a standing shower with great pressure and temperature control, but no bathtub. The amenities smell good, and the towels are good quality. Surprise! The free WiFi internet is super fast. I was able to back up 100 photos and 10 videos with no problem. Location: The hotel is in the middle of two underground train stations, so you can get in and out easily by walking for 3-4 minutes. However, for the first day, especially when you have a lot of luggage or big oversize luggage, and if you don't want to go around crossing the street looking for escalators or elevators, it's better to take a taxi. The hotel and Kyoto station are not too far apart at all. I know that taxi rides in Japan are rumored to be expensive, but it's up to you if you want to save your bag or your back. After you are free from your luggage, you can even walk 5-8 minutes to the shopping street or even 20-30 minutes to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which we did after recovering from 10 hours of sitting at the airport and on the flight. Since Kyoto has a lot to explore and there is great food out there, even food from combini Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby, we did not try the room service or restaurant at the hotel. Sorry about that. In conclusion, this is a brand new, renovated hotel that is clean and has a nice location. I will revisit and recommend it to my family, friends, and favorite colleagues.

Kyoto Station
You can go from Kyoto Station by 1 station and take a taxi within 1000 yen. When going to the guest room area from the front desk, there is an automatic door, and it will not open unless you hold the room key, so security is also solid. The elevator is also large. The room was well cleaned, very clean and the room was large and comfortable. The bath was large, and it was not a hotel faucet that was difficult to use, but an ordinary type of easy-to-use faucet. The separate place from the toilet was also good. It was good that the amenities were substantial and there was a bath salt. Free PET bottle water, drip coffee, tea packs are also available. Since it is a new hotel, the facilities are easy to use and there are many outlets, so it was convenient. You can also watch YouTube and Netflix on TV. General hotel rooms have many dim orange lighting, but the main lighting of this hotel is white, so it was good. It was comfortable because I couldn't hear the noise in the next room, the upper floors and the corridor. You can rest assured that the large communal bath has a security card dedicated to women only. There were many kinds of breakfast buffets and it was very delicious. When I checked out, I was asked, ”Did you have any inconvenience in your room?”, but nothing was wrong. I heard about the inconvenience and thought it was to respond quickly. You can leave your baggage for free after check-out, so you can go sightseeing empty-handed. The only inconvenience I felt was ... If you are in a room near the JR track, it is far from the elevator to the room. It was difficult to walk with a heavy suitcase because it was quite fluffy floor material, probably because it was to improve the soundproofing of the corridor. Even if I walked normally, I felt tired feet walking on the sandy beach. It may be unavoidable due to the structure of the building, but it was a pity that I could hardly see the Kyoto Tower from the rooftop, but I could see the trains and Shinkansen, and the mountains 々 in the distance. Tables, chairs and benches are installed, so I think you can spend a pleasant time in spring and autumn when the climate is good. It was a very good hotel, so I would like to use it again.

Self check-in according to email messages, there is no front desk clerk. The room is large, comfortable and has travel information. But there is no microwave washing machine and other convenient configuration for guests. It is recommended to check if you have received an email notification before check-in, if you do not contact customer service immediately.
