Candeo Hotels Kyoto Karasuma Rokkaku Reviews

Would highly recommend this hotel - it is equipped with wellness bath & sauna, Tatami and public rest area. The staff are very nice and helpful. The design of the hotel is gorgeous - which reminds me of the traditional Kyoto architecture. We really enjoyed our stay at Candeo Kyoto.

Very nice experience! Me and my friend both left things in our room and the hotel behaved very responsible and nice by informing us immediately and helped to ship the lost item to us. There is a hot spring inside the hotel and you can know how crowded it is by using the television in the room.

I would rate this hotel 5 or 6 out of 10 ,the bed is not so comfortable and the space so small for the price of 170 dollars per night😅 they have sauna bath but we don’t try it because you need to be completely naked with others😅 almost 3km from Kyoto station and around 20 minutes walk to downtown or city centre from the hotel. The stuff isn’t not that friendly not like other hotels we’ve stay in the past few days😅 people in Osaka or Tokyo is more friendly… ohh the breakfast is not buffet😅🤣 I have more to say but am tired of typing it🤣

Location not quite conveniently located if driving. Yet, great experience with great design

Pro: The location of the hotel was within reach of metro stations, 7/11 and Lawson were next door. The shower was very spacious and a great water pressure. Con:The room was quite small

The breakfast was Japanese one and you have to mention it, not all guests like this breakfast

Hotel is new and walkable to all the shopping district of Kyoto. Room is modern and clean.

The room is very big and retro, and the hot spring is average. The public area is very nice. In fact, the front is a townhouse, and the rooms in the back are connected to the building. This is smart, and you can have a Japanese experience without living in a place that is too old.

The most disappointing hotel this year. First of all, it is not convenient to the bus and subway. Secondly, the hotel's hygiene is very poor. I had a small rash on my body after staying there for a day. The characteristic is the townhouse at the door, but it is of no use. It is very inconsistent with the price. It is completely a standard of less than three stars in China. There is no window room, and Ctrip did not mark it.

This hotel has a Japanese-style townhouse lobby and public area, where friends can gather to chat, play cards, and even do morning yoga. There are also Western-style hotel rooms, and it is convenient to take a daily hot spring bath. The location is also very good, and it is convenient to travel by subway. The Japanese breakfast is cold, rich but not delicious

The location is excellent, between Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Line and Karasuma-Oike Station on the Kyoto Subway. There are convenience stores and McDonald's nearby. The hotel provides hot springs, which are very comfortable. Very cost-effective hotel

Too small, the smallest room I've stayed in in Japan. There's no sofa bed as shown in the picture, just a bay window. The 24-inch suitcase can only fit in the doorway. Apart from the lobby smelling a bit, I don't know why it costs 1,800 yuan a night and doesn't include breakfast. It's not worth it. I won't book again.

Location: Located at Karasuma Oike Station, walk to the right from Exit 5 for 3 minutes. It takes about 9 minutes to walk to Nishiki Market and about 12 minutes to Kawaramachi. There are small shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and kimono rental shops nearby. Catering: Traditional breakfast, not buffet, free coffee and tea available all day Environment: A traditional Kyoto machiya has been renovated, with space for tourists to rest. Spa: There is a bath, but the changing area is too small. If too many people are too oppressive Room: Comfortable and clean, but the room is small. It is recommended to stay in a larger room. 

The lobby door shop is an ancient building with history. The room space is average, but it is enough. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The location is not bad. It is very convenient to go to Sanjo Street. There are many boutique and fashionable brand stores, which is very easy to visit. Didn't eat breakfast, there are many places to eat around the hotel. The best part is that you can take a bath every day, but you have to bring your own towel. Overall, it can be recommended. Of course, if you like peace and quiet, Gion is better.
