Ryokan hosted by 3 elderly ladies. Peaceful, pleasant stay. The room is traditional tatami and futon - even in early spring, room was warm with heater and clean, futon was thick and comfortable.
Room big and well furnished, even has a small table for ocha and okashi.
Toilet was my favourite - separate toilet and bathing room, comes with tub to soak in like in the old time jap dramas. Hot water and strong.
Location convenient near all impt attractions, but also not too near to be hectic and crowded. Loved the stay!

My daughter and I stayed for one night. The host is kind and picky. It is a good place to stay for travelers because it is close to Kiyomizu, the station, and there are many restaurants nearby.

A great Japanese-style B&B experience. Although the equipment is not very new, the overall feeling is very clean. It feels like there is ingenuity in life and the decoration is very warm. In addition, the location is also very good, not far from the bus station and subway.

The quilt smelled of urine, and the hygiene standard was definitely not as good as that of a hotel. The old landlady didn't speak English well, and kept speaking Japanese to you. Although it was probably not intentional, the snacks were expired. There was no separate shower room and toilet, and the sliding door made a lot of noise, including when walking. I was always afraid of disturbing the landlord and other guests, and I felt very uncomfortable. I don't recommend it for those who are used to the standardized service of a hotel. If you want to experience a homestay, just book one night. I booked four nights, and I couldn't stand the one night, but the room fee was not refundable. Big thunder!!!

Traveling alone, convenient location with many restaurants nearby, clean room, air conditioning already on when I checked in, so it was comfortable. Toilet and bath are shared. The hallway is not air conditioned, so I was surprised at how hot it was when I went to the toilet at night. I think it's because of the crazy temperatures this summer. The front door is locked, and even before the 11pm curfew, you have to ring the intercom to get in, so I think some people find the constant ringing of the intercom annoying. I was exhausted so I went to bed early, so I didn't mind the sound of the intercom.

Because it is not a hotel, but a guesthouse in the family's house, it is very clean, and there is no problem with the public toilet, which is also very convenient. The house is just old-fashioned, with tatami floors and a bit of grass smell.

It looks clean, but the room smells. If you are going to be home late, I don't recommend staying here. I am afraid of disturbing others when taking a shower, and I can't carry large luggage upstairs.

It is a relatively early Japanese-style house. It is convenient for traveling and shopping in the bustling Gyeonggi shopping street in Kyoto. But the house is relatively old, the tatami is old and smells loud, and there is only one toilet and bathroom in the room that must be shared with many people. The stairs are very narrow and only suitable for small people. The store owner can only communicate in Japanese.

The overall evaluation is that the transportation is very convenient, the surrounding environment is very good, and the owner is very welcoming. The most important thing is that the old problem of lumbar disc herniation occurred due to the fatigue of traveling. I suddenly couldn't walk. It was relieved under the careful care of the landlord and his family. I am really grateful! A great host who will definitely stay again next time!

It's kind and clean, but it's an old facility, so there are things you have to endure.
It's a tatami room, so you can't drink or eat in the room.
The musty smell can't be helped. It's more spacious than a standard hotel room.

Authentic Japan Small authentic Japanese establishment. The ladies are adorable. I had forgotten a cardigan when I left. They kindly sent it to my son who lives in Nagoya. The only downside is the bathroom with mold. On the other hand, if you have back problems, it's complicated unless you're used to sleeping on your back. On your side it's complicated
