Bad customer service related to early check-in. We arrived at 12 as a family with two children, one of whom was visibly ill. Room was available from 13. We were asked to pay an extra charge, even though we had called in advance to ensure early check-in was possible. This kind of customer service is not to be expected from a 5-star hotel.

It's in a very quiet and good location. The location is great, less than a minute from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai subway line. The room was a double, but it was just the right size, and the bed and futon were just the right firmness and comfortable. I really liked that the toilet and bath were separate. I liked that there was an off timer setting on the TV (many TVs don't have this these days). The only drawback is that there is no desk. I was happy with the free self-service drink service in the lobby on the first floor. As for breakfast, it was Western food, but it would have been nice if they had rice and miso soup. I plan to use it again next time.

Arrived without hesitation, a compact and beautiful hotel. The staff was kind and courteous, which was nice. The room was a superior twin, but it was still small. Point Recently, I've been choosing only hotels like that, so it's great that there's a washroom and a spacious place to move around.
