Ryokan Hostel Gion was wonderfully quiet and calm place to stay. Very quiet and clean dorm room. Lots of beds but didn't feel crowded. I really likes the bed space. It had a light and plug and somehow felt spacious. Very comfortable linens. Clean bathrooms. There is a small kitchen area and a bit of space to sit. Plus the usual Japanese amenities. Lots of security features though you never really have to worry about that in Japan. It's near the Higashiyama sights and restaurants and shopping. You’ll need to take the subway to Kyoto station. Very walkable area. I wish listing was more specific on whether certain toiletries or amenities are included. Highly recommended and I would happily stay here again.
