Great hotel near the castle and a subway line. Staff is really friendly and there’s comic books you can read downstairs. Breakfast is great but it’s a traditional Japanese breakfast, which may not be for everyone.

very tiny room but clean and cozy. Location is great and access to public transportation is very convenient. Front desk staff are nice and polite. Would recommend to solo travelers!

The reception staff are polite and courteous. The food is very delicious. The room is clean and comfortable. The transportation is convenient, not far from the train station and some tourist attractions.

Good value for the money! It's close to Nijo castle. You can read comic books (mostly Japanese) at the hotel reception. The solo room is not big but very practical and clean, you don't really get a cheaper private room in Kyoto for less and the room walls are not thin! Helpful staff!

I really like this hotel and this is my second stay here. The staff were very helpful, especially with assisting in sending my luggage. The breakfast was very delicious and filling.

1. Hotel and room - spacious, very nice place, enjoyed the hall atmosphere, the room design with high coloured ceilings, beautiful bathroom. Everything very clean.
2. Breakfast. Delicious but rather same daily. Pay attention it’s traditional japanese bento box, not european style.
3. Location. Nice, near the bus stop that gets u to Gion or Kyoto station directly.

Facilities are fine. But without face mask like previous hotel that I stayed at. The location of the hotel is a bit far from center of kyoto which takes 15 - 20 minutes to be there.
Anyways, overall score for the hotel is still high since the staff are nice and polite, the breakfast I enjoyed is good!
