I made a reservation because I really wanted to try the ryokan at least once. The tatami room was very nice, and the ryokan staff were also very friendly, so I was impressed. I was very satisfied with the large bath and the water as it was clean and spacious.

The style is suitable, the toilet and washroom are very large, thumbs up, and there is a public hot spring. There is a small courtyard in front of the door, which is suitable for parent-child travel.

The location is excellent, quiet in a busy area, and it takes about 7 minutes to walk to Kyoto subway station.

In the hotel street, Japanese style rooms, hot springs, good service, washing machine and dryer on the underground floor. Convenient location, there are food stalls and convenience stores outside, close to the subway station, very convenient to go anywhere. The only thing is that the paper-pasted windows in the room are very light-transmitting, I was woken up by the light early in the morning, why don't you install curtains? Or is there some trick I haven't discovered?

I heard that it was a new Japanese-style hotel and it was very close to JR Kyoto Station. It was quite expensive, so I made a reservation. The entrance and lobby are very beautiful, and the room with tatami is estimated to be 15 square meters. The toilet and bathroom are separated from wet and dry areas and are on both sides of the corridor in the room, which is very suitable for two people to do their own thing. I just want to complain about a few points: 1. The English level of the front desk lady needs to be improved 2. There is not even a bottle of drinking water in the room 3. The large bath in B1 has two male baths and two female baths, and one requires payment. The water temperature in the reserved private soup was too high, so you could only soak your feet. It felt like your whole body would be half cooked when you got in. 3. The air conditioner in the room is on the ceiling and blows towards people. There is wind everywhere, and it is very stuffy when it is turned off. It's very noisy with the windows open, and there seems to be exhaust outside. Anyway, I didn't sleep well, and I was in a really bad mood. The next day I went to Kiyomizudera Temple. There were so many people and I got inexplicably angry all the way. It was so angry...

We came here for 2 days before a conference in Yokohama, hoping to immerse in Japanese culture a bit. Ryokan Ginkaku Kyoto was a truly great choice. Classic yet utterly modern, spare yet indulgent, beautiful public spaces, peaceful private room, relaxing public bath, and great Japanese breakfast and dinner. So welcome after miles of walking the temple districts. Highly recommended!!!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Ryokan Ginkaku Kyoto! Everything was beautiful and seemed brand new. The team they truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left by helping us with directions and reservations. We especially appreciated the tea and cookie’s and the private onsen. A special note was the high level of service we received after I left my medication’s in the room. I received a kind email from the team, and they made sure to have my medication‘s promptly delivered to my next destination in Tokyo. Person who speaks English it was especially helpful that they reached out to the next hotel and coordinated receipt of the medications. A wonderful service experience and very appreciated.

I'll give you a serious review. Please don't delete it. I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days, but the half-boiled fried egg that was served on the second morning was rotten. As a result, I was in pain from lunch on the second day to the third day and even after I got home, which was really sad. Also, the rice was stringy. (Everyone else's was too.) There was a lot of dust (visible to the naked eye) on the dessert, so I hope they improve the hygiene. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The room was also clean and nice. It was also good to have good access to the station, and you can go to various places from there, so that was also good. I think the reputation would be better if they could improve the hygiene of the food. Even if it was a mistake, it's not right to serve rotten* to tourists. I paid money and I'm a respectable customer, so I should be able to do that much. As a result, I was sad with stomach pains for more than half of my fun trip.

I stayed in a Japanese modern special room on the 9th floor with my child. The hotel has just been renovated and is kept clean throughout, and is located close to Kyoto Station. We were given tea and sweets at check-in, and all of the staff members were polite and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. I stayed for 2 nights, and the breakfast menu varied depending on the day, and both the children's meals and the adult meals were delicious. There was also a private bath on the basement floor, where I was able to take a relaxing soak with my children. There are also four public baths, two for men and women, and it was nice to be able to use the one that was vacant. The special room and private bath we stayed in had a Refa hair dryer, and the room had a Refa hair iron and hair straightening iron, which was great. From 8pm to 9pm, I was able to go up to the rooftop with the employees, and I was able to take family photos with Kyoto Tower in the background, creating some great memories.
