The staff were very attentive and considerate from check-in to check-out! We were traveling with children and arrived early to leave our luggage at the hotel. They provided us with the most suitable family room, along with thoughtful breakfast and dinner services. The hotel has laundry and drying facilities, which were very convenient. There are two outdoor swimming pools and two spa pools, which both we and our children loved—they were great for relieving travel fatigue. Highly recommended!

Really loved my stay at Yilinlin (100 in mandarin, very punny!) the loft style room is unique and made the room feel spacious, with high windows and ceilings that let us have great views! There is 1 toilet in each floor, with the shower + bath (as well as a sauna I’m impressed!) on the 2nd floor where the bed is. The room was clean and looked new and modern. The staff at the reception were friendly + hospitable and it was easy to communicate with them via WeChat if we had any questions or requests (e.g. to tidy the room). Location is great - it’s near the metro and it’s convenient for Didi pick up to travel to various city attractions. It’s still a distance away from the main city attractions like Green Lake Park and Kunming Old Street but with Didi being so affordable and readily available, it’s honestly worth it compared to taking the metro especially if you’re travelling with older folks and/or kids. There are shopping malls in walking distance so it’s easy to get a wide variety of food and shopping options! I discovered quite a number of nice and famous bakeries in the shopping malls. If I ever have the chance to come back to Kunming, I would love to stay here again!

This stay far exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is super convenient for shopping and commuting. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep every night. The biggest surprise was the laundry service; they picked up and delivered promptly, and the clothes were perfectly dried and neatly folded. It completely solved my laundry woes during a long trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the city!

This hotel is fantastic, I absolutely loved the ambiance, especially the grassy area with a courtyard inside. The bed in the family room was genuinely the largest I've ever slept on; there was plenty of space for my child and me, incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious too, and they even offered a complimentary breakfast for kids. I'll definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is located on the 13th floor, with four elevators. The room has a large window with a nice view, very good room facilities, and hot water. The hotel is cost-effective and convenient for parking. Opposite the hotel is a large supermarket and a food street. The breakfast shop across the road from the hotel has great dumplings. Recommended.

The room was spotless and smelled fresh, which we really appreciated. The service was also excellent, with staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. What's more, the location was very convenient, right next to Wanda Plaza.

Other than location, everything else is superb. If you don't mind taking a taxi or e-hailing, then it's fine. However, e-hailing is an issue for foreigners. You can't register one without a local number due to a payment issue. You need a local bank account to register. It's more of a condotel. Nearest train station is 30 minutes away walking. There is a small mall next to the hotel. Besides the room, what I like is also the staff at the counter. They are helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. If I am driving I don't mind at all to stay at this place.

I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows in my room. The handwritten note left by the staff in the room was a very special touch – it's been ages since I received a handwritten message! The room was impeccably clean and tidy every single day, truly deserving a five-star rating. I also adored the little heart shape the staff thoughtfully arranged on the bed. The thoughtful service from the front desk staff was excellent. I even connected with them on WeChat during check-in, and they responded promptly to all my questions and issues throughout my stay. I really appreciated the smart design of the elevators: after scanning your room card, it automatically selects your floor. In most other hotels, you have to scan your card *and then* manually press your floor button, so this Novotel is the first one I've encountered with such a convenient system. And a tip: remember to look up at the ceiling when you're in the elevator – there's a pleasant surprise waiting for you! Another thoughtful detail was the complimentary bottled water available for guests to take in the elevator lobbies on each floor and right next to the front desk. It's super handy, especially since I often forget to bring water when I head out. What I didn't like were the two large display screens at the front desk. They created an unnecessary barrier between myself and the staff, which felt a bit impersonal during what should have been warm, face-to-face interactions. Finally, thank you for the small gift we received at check-out. I haven't opened it yet, but I'm guessing it's a flower pastry. It would have been even better if it had been given to us a bit earlier, perhaps before I finished packing my luggage, so I wouldn't have had an extra item to juggle on the high-speed train.

Facilities: The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and the management clearly put a lot of thought into it. Cleanliness: Everything else was fine, except for the bathroom's urine smell. Environment: The surrounding construction site made it quite noisy, and the parking lot was quite poor. The tire caps were stolen and the tires were slightly deflated. Service: The requirement to scan a QR code everywhere was a bit excessive.

To be objective, the amenities were standard, and room service was very responsive (they promptly registered our license plate, which made exiting with our vehicle very convenient). Fresh bottled water and slippers were replenished daily. However, the beam directly above the bed in the upstairs bedroom of the loft unit was an absolutely terrible design choice. Every single person in our family bumped their head on it during our stay 🙃. Anytime you leaned down to grab something from the bedside table or charge a device, you were almost guaranteed to hit your head. This is made even worse by the Chinese Feng Shui taboo of a 'beam pressing down on people.' I genuinely have to wonder where this building's interior designer received their training. The apartment's location was quite good, with a subway station downstairs and a shopping mall diagonally across the street. Ordering food delivery was also very convenient.
