Very great location just exit from tuodong metro station exit D, very conveniently take metro from airport to hotel.
Only the bed of the hotel too hard. Abit not comfort the bed. Others are OK. Pool and gym very nice.

Love everything in here
Most of the staffs can speak English and really have a good service mind.
The welcome cookies were so delicious when take them with hot tea.
The water machine in the room is really smart and environmental friendly.
The breakfast is very great, cooked fresh.

Kunming JEN Hotel and Shangri-La are housed in the same complex with lower floors (1-17F) being JEN. Shangri-La is located on 18F and above, but it is now undergoing renovation which should be ready by end 2025.
The Tuodong Stadium (Exit D) subway station on line 3 is just outside the hotel, making travelling very convenient and easy. The rooms look refreshed and spacious with electric curtains control. A good feature is the cold/hot water dispenser machine in each room that provides unlimited drinking water supply at all times. The buffet breakfast is really fantastic, wish I could stay another day to indulge in it !!
Front desk staff Hong Rui 洪瑞 was very helpful in assisting us about places to visit and restaurants to try out. Really appreciate her help to extend our check-out time as we had a late departure flight.
Overall, this is one of the good hotels that I have stayed in the major cities of China. Will return to JEN when I visit Kunming again.

Jen Kunming Shangri-la provides excellent customer and concierge service. They arrange for didi ride for us from the hotel to Kunming Railway Station.
Breakfast is good. Wide selection of food ro choose..

Unbearably Dry Room
Our stay was ruined by the extremely dry air in the room. The central air vent constantly blew dry air, and a dehumidifier near the door ran 24/7, making it worse if the air conditioning was turned off. Despite Kunming’s 75% outdoor humidity during our visit, the room felt like a desert. Every morning, my wife and I woke up with blocked noses and frequent nosebleeds.
Of course with this kind of humidity there will be no mold, but the extreme dryness made the room an uncomfortable inferno.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Jen Shangri-La. The hotel is beautiful, with all the amenities. We used the pool one of the days and it is one of the best city hotel pools we’ve been to. The gym is HUGE and fully equipped. The breakfast caters to all tastes, though it has a very strong Chinese bias, as is expected. It is very well situated with a metro station next to it, and one of the best shopping centres 15 minutes walking (full of great restaurants).

Breakfast was good. Check in had some issue but the manager resolved it quickly. However bathroom quite small. No one helped with luggages at the entrance to and from the cab when we reach the hotel and left the hotel
