Lüsù Design Guesthouse (Nanping Street)

Located very near to Shuncheng Mosque. Walkable to Shuncheng Street. Room is spacious but not really clean. There’s a very bad smell coming from the kitchen. There’s a lot of plug point but only one of it can fit the universal adapter. Thankfully we stayed for only one night. The room has two bathrooms but only one bathroom has shower. Owner cannot speak and understand English at all so all communication was done through wechat. Would I recommend this place to my friend? Yes and No. Yes because it is spacious and very near to shuncheng street, so easy to get halal food. No because of the cleanliness.

The building seems to be a military building of some sort. Check in is 9th level, I honestly wouldn't have known if I didn't read reviews. We got room 2223 I think. There was a bad stench coming from the bathroom. The first night we checked in, the hallway was so dark it was creepy. Also, there is no air conditioning. Only a fan. There is a washing machine but no tumble dryer. We booked for 3 nights but checked out after one night. For Muslims, this is a good location as there are halal eateries just downstairs and the Mosque is a two minutes walk away. But unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the location. If you're not fussy, this place should be good enough for you.

The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable but we would’ve liked more pillows for relaxing and watching movies. We can confirm that there were English movies available for free on the projector setup which was great. The bath and shower were a little confusing but did ultimately produce ample hot af water. The pretty receptionist helped us to do our laundry even though our room did not contain a washing machine as expected and was lovely throughout the stay, communicating with us via WeChat. Lastly, the location was perfect, there is a street market below where you can get spicy hash browns in the morning and nearby to lots of great restaurants, bakeries and tea shops. The hotel reception is on the 9th floor of an upmarket residential building. There are no signs but enter the driveway past the guard and you’ll find the door to the building.

Service was fantastic! The receptionist was extremely responsive( always reply within minutes via wechat). If you have a chance to see how she muti-taskrd with face to face customer, on phone at the same time with precise direction. Very helpful in resolving my taobao delivery issue. The customer is blessed to have her. Minor point that the name of hotel is different from the reception label which has a different name.
