Hot spring Hotels in Kunming

I've stayed in dozens of ”5-star” hotels throughout China (inc. one in Hangzhou that was horrifying!); Kunming's Intercontinental is a TRUE 5-star hotel. The service, amenities, extensive grounds, and rooms are all top tier. The location is great for the West Lake scenic spot (other than that it's quite far from the city hubbub... to be expected when the hotel grounds require a fold-out map!). The dinner & breakfast were excellent (although all the fanciest dinner options were seafood, if that matters to you). Pay the little bit extra, stay at this hotel, you won't regret it.

Relaxation at its finest！  We enjoyed our stay at this Hot Spring hotel that came with wonderful benefits. Upon arrival, the staff is there to greet you and take your luggage to the room. The hotel is massive. Hot Springs is very large and comfortable. Lots of places for children to play and pools for them to enjoy. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Give this a four star on amenities as they did not have a crib suitable for toddlers. younger babies, yes, but not if your baby is climbing or walking, the crib will not fit. The location is good and not far from a lot of the sites of Kunming ! Overall, I would love to stay at this hotel again, and I recommend it to all travelers. 

The hotel is about 10km away from the city center. It’s located right across the road from the Dianchi Lake and very close (within walking distance) to major tourist attractions in Kunming. This is a relatively small hotel with an elegant and relaxing ambiance. Rooms are beautifully furnished and very spacious. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of delicious options. The hotel restaurant offers an extensive menu for lunch and dinner and is open nonstop till late hours in the evening. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. In fact, we ate at the hotel restaurant all the time during our three-day visit in Kunming. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place, especially for leisure travelers who want to stay in a quiet area and be close to tourist attractions.

After getting off the high-speed train, we had to catch the high-speed train early the next morning, so we had to find a hotel with breakfast near the high-speed train station. We found several hotels but none of them were ideal. We were ready to go to Hilton. The taxi driver introduced Lishui Yunquan to us. It is next to Kunming Normal University and has a quiet environment. At the front desk, when we said we didn't want a high-rise room, the lady immediately helped us change to a low-rise room. The room is large, clean, well-equipped, dry and wet separated, and it is very convenient to use hot water. There is also a large glass window sill, and you can see Kunming High-speed Railway Station in a straight line (about 10 minutes away from the high-speed railway station). For dinner, a male staff member was very enthusiastic to take us to the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. When we were dazzled by the dishes, the lady who took the order was very patient and stood and waited for more than 15 minutes. The dishes are delicious and not expensive for two people. The breakfast has many varieties and styles and is very delicious. The ladies at the front desk and the Chinese food department are always smiling and have a very good service attitude. When leaving, the security uncle took the initiative to help us carry our luggage to the car. Lishui Yunquan is very comfortable. Awesome 👍👍👍!!!

I remembered to take pictures just before leaving. I sincerely recommend this hotel. Not only is the service good, but the sanitary conditions are also excellent. Especially the beautiful Milla, who greets me every day and provides very considerate service. The experience of staying here is quite great.

I really was impressed by the scenery of this hotel. As far as I live in this small courtyard of ”Yunyuan”, just take a picture of a landscape. Too suitable for vacation or family travel. We are taking our children on vacation this time. Kunming's February is very warm, which makes me a northerner feel warm. His family has a landscape lake with a lot of koi. Fish food is a dollar and a pack. You can feed the fish. Don't be too cost-effective. My children are very happy. The enthusiastic front desk housekeeper Gao Yuan sister also introduced many free benefits of the hotel. We will not experience the fitness ones and bring the children. But our family went to the Crystal Palace to soak in the hot springs during their business hours, which was too comfortable.

Our room was a two-story loft, with bathrooms and showers on both levels, making it perfect for family trips. Additionally, the 24-hour indoor hot spring was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was a standout, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to suit all preferences.The staff were attentive, polite, and always ready to help, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family visiting Kunming and look forward to staying there again in the future.

The front desk service is very good and thoughtful, the room environment is clean and tidy, and you can relax in the hot springs at night. The breakfast in the morning is a buffet. This stay makes me very satisfied and praises! ! !

The hotel is located in a busy area in the city, with convenient transportation, many food and shopping malls around, and it is very convenient to eat. The hotel rooms are clean and sanitary with complete facilities. The bathroom is large! The front desk and room service are warm and thoughtful, and friendly. There are many breakfast dishes! The hotel is very cost-effective!

The appearance of the hotel is average. When you walk into the lobby, it's pretty good and quite impressive. The theme rooms are quite thoughtful, but not necessarily the guests like them. This time we had a room with a forest night sky, but we didn’t really like it. We arrived on the eve of National Day. The nearby South Asia Style Garden has a festive atmosphere and has delicious food to choose from. We tasted Hunan cuisine, which was pretty good. The breakfast is very rich and has many varieties. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it also operates a hot spring.
