Kumamoto Chuo Ward Hotels

A very nice, modern hotel in the heart of the Kumamoto shopping district - very convenient location, right at the cross section of the two major covered shopping thoroughfares. Check-in only at 3pm and is an automated check-in/check-out system. Staff are very helpful and friendly. At check-in, you are free to choose your amenities from a very wide selection, including bath salts, face cleanser, moisturizer, coffee, green tea, etc. There is a giant tv in the room. No bottled water is provided. The room offers a full robe (short yukata and pants!). The rooms itself are very modern and renovated. There are two Family Marts and a 7-11 within a block of the hotel, as well as many dining and retail options within short walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk to Kumamoto Castle and a 30 minute walk to Kumamoto Station.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed in Kyushu. Room is clean and big. Likes the Kumamoto bear theme in the room. Walking distance to shopping street and malls. Many options for food and shops.

The lobby is on the ３ floor. Breakfast venue and welcome drink are on the ３ floor. Yukata is in the lobby and bring it yourself. Slippers and yukata are prohibited in the common area of the building. After taking a bath, I changed into indoor clothes, wanted to drink coffee slowly, and forgot to bring a yukata (because I have a lot of baggage when I enter the museum). I want to warm dinner in the microwave. Etc. I often want to go to the lobby. But I don't want to wear shoes. Because it's for going out. If it is a type of this hotel, I don't think there is a possibility that outsiders will enter the breakfast venue. I don't know why slippers are prohibited. I can't relax when I wear shoes. It's attractive to have free coffee, but I can't go for a drink. I'm dissatisfied. I want you to make slippers a little more sandal-like and allow them to wear. It seems to be a slipper that can be washed, but halfway. If possible, I would be happy if there was a large communal bath. Is it because it is Japanese?

Stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The room was clean and easy to spend. There is a tatami mats, so you can go go go. The bed is a bit hard, but it is not difficult to sleep. The open-air bath can hear the sound of the car because it is all over the city, but there is a cherry blossom and it is not visible from the surroundings, and the curtain for completely blocking is also installed, so if you are concerned, you can use it. The water was clean and easy to use. The outlet is hardly close to the floor, under the TV, under the bed, the bathroom and the air cleaner. If the charging cable is short, the tablet will be charged at the bed. If the charging cable is long, you can extend it from the TV and put the tablet on the tatami mats to charge. It was because it was a room near the coin laundry on the 3 floor, and I heard the sound of the washing machine. However, I was able to spend it without worrying about it. It is also convenient that the next door is seven eleven. I didn't use breakfast buffet because of corona. The hotel receptionist is a sister in a T-shirt, and there is no atmosphere called ”Hotel Man”, but I was able to check in and check out smoothly, and there is no rudeness. It was a very good hotel with location, newness and cleanliness.

We took Highway Bus (2.5hr) from Fukuoka Airport to Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. Koko Hotel is directly connected to the bus terminal. Hotel was opened in June 2022 and there were now clear signages to Koko Hotel as we alighted from the bus. We took escalator to the 2F and take the lift to the 14F where the Hotel lobby is. From the lobby, we get a clear view of Kumamoto Castle. Our Superior Twin Room is very spacious and comfortable. We paid Y32,310 for 2 nights. It is 10 mins walk to the Castle, and 10 mins taxi ride to Kumamoto Station. Amu Plaza next to Kumamoto Station has plenty of eateries. Sakuramachi has Family Mart, restaurants and shops.

Very convenient location right opposite to the main bus station where there is a big shopping mall with plenty of restaurants. This hotel was not smooth from the time of check-in. When I tried to enter the hotel tower parking lot by car rental, a taxi was parked in front of the hotel and I couldn't enter it. When I stop at the side of the taxi, the taxi driver came down and said, ”I don't put it because it is a taxi stand here.” What is the matter with the hotel guests who can't get a car in front of the hotel? When my wife asked me to go to the front desk, the tower parking lot is not currently used, so I asked you to park at １ 900 yen per night in the affiliated parking lot away. The display of the tower parking lot is ”full car”, but it is said that ”not full car” but ”not used”. Stop the car in the affiliated three-dimensional parking lot, pull the suitcase around 200 ｍ, and finally check in. The room was a corner room on the top floor. It was a little spacious room. The entrance is divided into toilets on the left hand, toilets and baths on the right hand, ２. It is good to be divided, but each door is not a sliding door, but it is not easy to use because it interferes. Tokyu Hotels are familiar and use in various cities, but it is subtle whether to choose this next time you stay in Kumamoto.

The location is very good. There is an up and down link nearby. The large bathing room on the top floor is also very comfortable and usually not crowded. I stayed in a corner room 925. The view was mediocre and the surrounding buildings were all nearby. The room was clean and tidy, except that there was a lot of dust behind the TV and the stand. It seemed that it had not been cleaned for a long time.
