Hotel Pudu Plaza Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur|0.96km from Street music site
The front desk of the hotel is very kind and you can speak clean English normally, so you don't have to worry about communication. At the front desk, he taught me how to use the taxi app-grab and how to make a reservation. Thanks to that, all the movement was grab and easy. It was about 6 minutes walk from LaLaport, close to Central Market and Bukit Bintang by taxi. You can drink 500 PET bottles of water, tea and instant coffee every day in the room. The room also has a refrigerator. I chilled the mango I bought and ate it. However, be careful as toilet paper and bath towels may not be changed unless they are told. There is a supermarket in the building where you can use your credit card, and it is convenient to have canned beer, dry mangoes, nuts, etc. The exchange office in the building is vacant except on Sundays. Clothing is sold on the second floor of the supermarket, but for some reason there were many men's items. There were multiple massage shops on the 1st and 2nd floors, and I went there every day comfortably. In front of the hotel, there are many Chinese restaurants and it is crowded with locals. Fruits are also sold and retailed, and there. I had them eat rambutan, dragon fruit, etc. (Because you can't bring mangostin to the hotel) Right next to the hotel is the icc market, and if you get tired of the hotel rice, you can eat delicious rice here, and local clothes in the basement of this building (light and easy to wear) Is sold cheaply. I want to stay again because the location is excellent.

12Fly Hotel Kuala Lumpur

On 7 Dec 19, I arrived KL before midnight and walk into 12Fly Hoyel @ Jln Tong Shin to make a booking. After taking down my particulars I was ask to pay a total Rm170. As I was in a rush for this last minute business trip I forgot to bring my credit cards except cash in Singapore dollars. I requested to leave SGD100 (equivalent to Rm300) as a deposit and the next day before I check out I will go to a money changer and pay them Rm 170. The immediate reply I got was the hotel do not accept foreign currency. I said Iunderstand but I'm only requesting to leave this SGD100 as a deposit and will pay the exact change before I check out the next day. And beside, now is already pass midnight and where am I going to find a money changer at this hour. The guy at the Reception ask me go walk down the road and ask, and he gives me until 2am. Frankly I'm exhausted after a long drive from Singapore and instead of arguing, I said ok let me go wash up and I'll go and check if I find a money changer. I went up to the room and the aircon was not working at all. Immediately I call the reception and he said someone will come to check. I sat on the bed waiting and after 15 mins nobody came. I called again and the same person told me someone is coming and to wait. I waited another 10 mins and still nobody came. By now I was not only tired but furious and mad because imaging sitting in an enclosed room without aircon. Immediately I took my luggage and walk out of the room. When I reach the lobby reception there were 2 guys, the reception and the room service staff sitting side by side chatting and they wasn't evening serving any customers. Not being able to contained my cool, I slam the room key at the table and said this is the last time I'm ever going to walk into this hotel and walk away. What I'm pissed so off is the service mentality and the attitude of the Reception. In my years of travelling, I've never encountered such pathetic service in the hotel industry. Andrew Tan

I booked this hotel from Expedia and non-refundable after read all the bad reviews about this hotel. Indeed, most of it is correct in some ways. Personally from my opinion, I got a very small room with no windows and small bathroom. Its ok for me because I only stay for 3 days 2 nights. Average cleanliness. Good WiFi. Clean beds and the A/C works fine even though a little bit dusty and old. They use scanning card to unlocked hotel room. But, I doubt the safety of valuelable things left in this room. They got heater and TV. I think this is good for budget traveller who stay for a day or two. Poor communication of receptionist staff. They require RM 50 for deposit during check-in and refundable during check-out. Location is very strategic. Behind the hotel you can find so many food stall at night. It is near to Low Yat Plaza, Times Square and CIMB Bank (in front of the hotel). Around 200m to MRT station and Monorail station. You can also walk to Pavillion Kuala Lumpur. Overall, location is the reason why people choose this hotel. It also a budget hotel. Not recommeded for family. Most of the time noises from the hallway yelling, laughing loud. Here are the photos I took during my stay.
