Hotels near Seri Raja Chulan Condominium in Kuala Lumpur

I stayed at the Mesui for a few nights in late September 2019. For a budget hotel, it’s great value. The room was small, but was clean, and had working air-con, a TV and a good en-suite. The bathroom was a bit humid, but there was no issue with the smell. Staff were fairly helpful, and the hotel had a safe vibe (other than a couple of street walker types out a couple of blocks away after midnight). However, the location is the main positive. Mesui is 5-10min walk from the main Bukit Bintang retail area, the Jalan Alor food street, the Bukit Bintang train station and monorail, and the Pavilion mall. One of the best roti canai places (TG’s) is 5min away too. The KL Eco Forest (and KL Tower) is only 10min walk away, and KLCC Park and the Petronas Towers would only be 10-15min. Everywhere else is easily reached on the metro train - for example the National Museum is only a couple of stops away. Excellent value for money for a great base for a short visit to KL.

The location is superb as it is located at the centre of Bukit Bintang, near to MRT but with limited parking facilities. Just call the hotel before check in to confirm the availability of parking space. The front desk staffs are nice and patiently waiting to assist my friend to park the car. Somehow it is a rainy day The room is great even though it has just enough space to solat. Amazingly, this hotel provides almost complete amenities with best budget. I do enjoy the stay but don’t forget to spare RM50 for hotel deposit.

I had a great stay at Ramada Suites Kuala Lumpur. The staff was welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the city. The breakfast was tasty, and the amenities, including the rooftop pool, were enjoyable. However, there were minor Wi-Fi issues in the room. Overall, I recommend Ramada Suites Kuala Lumpur for a comfortable stay in the heart of the city. the best part is , walking distance to BUKIT BINTANG and it was so easy to find a food !!

LOCATION   About 2 min walk from the busy pubstreet in Bukit Bintang, the building itself is unique, whitewashed with an attractive façade of verandahs and wall-sized glass amidst the neighboring towers.   LOBBY   The style is simple, minimalistic, modern and functional.   SERVICE   We stayed about 3 days after the hotel commenced operations, so it was stunning and sublime to use the new rooms. The room we had was a virgin room, as everything was unopened, unused. Security good and parking available. Restaurant not yet in use during stay. The chinese desk clerk was very helpful, professional and kind. He even helped us carry luggage to our uber on check-out.   ROOMS   We were upgraded to family room as the standard rooms were fully occupied. The open wardrobe plan design with lots of storage space is a plus for travellers. All the sockets were internationally adaptable and fitted with USB ports, meaning no need to bring and borrow. Well Done!   The wallpaper was a large black and white photograph of the community life from the past, splashed with bright yellow paint at certain spots. The grey+white+yellow carpet matched the painting adding warmth and comfort to our toes. The bed was X-Large, super comfy and a torment to leave. The night lamp was beautifully designed.   Bathroom clean complete with Borneo products and amenities (eco-friendly using recycled paper) while laundry bag and slippers provided. There is a tea and coffee with 8 sugars but only 2 creamers, would need to add more.      As it was the last day of the year 2019, we raced to the roof to see the midnight fireworks from the KL tower. We were amongst a small crowd of couples and friends wishing peace, health and prosperity for the world.    SUMMARY   Would highly recommend! CITY OASIS!  

Very good service! Distance is walkable from Bukit Bintang MRT station. Location is good and within walking distance to Pavilion, Lot 10 and so on. Staff are friendly and helpful. Eateries can also be easily accessible from the hotel.

The room was lovely, well decorated and laid out, and the bed was huge and the mattress comfortable. The pillows were just right - THANK YOU! The central bedside console for controlling the lights and aircon was nifty, though we couldn't work out how to totally dim it at night so had to throw a towel over it. The aircon had several modes which worked really well. All the room anenities were just right - iron, fridge stocked with drinks, gowns, welcoming bowl of fruit. The hotel gave us 3 free pieces of laundry daily, which was very usefulnand much appreciated. The laundry service was expensive - unfortunately par for the course for most hotels - but Hello Laundry, conveniently down the road, offered an excellent alternative service. Free breakfast was included, and the fare was simply amazing (see pics). There was something for everyone, you won't leave feeling hungry! Many chefs were busy preparing right in front of you, the waitstaff buzzed around like bees, and the head chef and manager were ever present. Great personal service, not a single person made us feel unwelcome. The check in service was fluid and welcoming, and the concierge and doormen helpful. Overall, a great stay.

Friendly staff and pleasant stay. Clean room. Think the safe is faulty. Location is good, short walk to nearby restaurants and malls. Near MRT too.

Overall I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Twenty 8B :D Firstly, the receptionist was super friendly and polite. Secondly, the hotel room I stayed at was the superior queen view room (non-smoking room, 2 pax). Overall, the hotel room was clean, neat, minimalistic, and had all the basic bathroom and bedroom essentials. In my opinion, if you're looking for an affordable hotel with your partner for a 1-night stay or few nights stay that is located in KL city centre or specifically nearby Bukit Bintang (Pavilion, KLCC, Lot 10, Sungei Wang, Berjaya Times Square etc.), then this hotel would be one of the best options/choices, hands down.

A budget 'boutique' hotel a couple of minutes walk from Jalan Alor food Street and the bars of Bukit Bintang? A trendy hotel stay for little more than £20, the price of 2 pints of beer in the surrounding area!? Can that be possible? Well, yes, just about. The hotel is tucked away in a side street behind the food street and a strip of massage shops- when walking here you'll run the gauntlet of 30 kids per shop trying to encourage you to take an overpriced massage. The street is urban gritty but funky- all the buildings are painted in street art, including the Melange hotel which has a cute kitten peering into its windows. It's a thin, six storey block with glass frontage. After an elaborate check-in process and the usual addition of mysterious extra taxes you always get in Malaysia, we were assigned a room on the 5th floor. The impression I got having checked out all the floors is that floors 1 and 2 (shiney wood panelled corridor) and 3 and 4 (swishy curtain covered corridors) are probably better standard than floors 5 and 6 (painted corridors slightly stained carpets). However our room was okay- fridge, big TV, a/c, large comfy bed, good sized bathroom with separate shower room and the best shower we had on this 5 week trip. The room had a window with views of the city skyline over the rooftops and the scruffy tenement building in front. I enjoyed watching KL's infamous rats make their way up the side of the building and in through people's windows. Our room seemed clean enough but it was let down by easily fixable things like staining on the funky white bed headboard which could have been deceased insects or even nasal debris and unmistakably a greasy head print. There were certainly 'boutique' elements such as the storks painted on the ceiling and unusual wire bedside lights, which I think were once insects but have now lost their wings, but then the whole thing was let down by little things like the key card only working on the 10th attempt. We slept well though- the bed was comfy and the room quiet, although the window didn't close properly which allowed more noise in than it would have if it closed. Staff were efficient and spoke okay English. The rooftop bar/ restaurant looked nothing like the photos shown on here. There was no one in when I called, just 2 teen staff watching cartoons on TV. It's a good view from the balcony but you can only access this when the bar is open and it closes early afternoon. With a little investment to tidy up small defects this could be a really nice hotel. However, I guess the conundrum for the owners is that to invest more may mean pushing the room cost up and I'm not sure mid range travellers would appreciate the 'gritty' city surroundings. As it is, it's a perfectly good budget option in a very convenient location.

The location was not bad, around 5 minutes walk will reach a monorail station, 10 minutes will be able to reach Pavilion Mall. Free parking was available for the cars, and plenty of lots was available even around the Christmas day, so no worries for those who drives. Just remember to get an QR code from the receptionist before exiting. They do provide complimentary breakfast every morning. I stayed for 3 days, first morning was kind of bad, everything was very cold and not refilled on time and empty food trays could be seen. Second morning was better. Taste wise, not very authentic, Nasi Lemak taste like normal rice. But since it’s complimentary, better than nothing I guess. And remember to get the toothbrush kit from the receptionist, they only gave you upon request.
