Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur

Was very excited when i booked this hotel, afterall it is Banyan Tree that we are talking about, and most importantly, it did not come cheap, so we thought the service would be exceptional. When we first arrived, the friendly porters helped us with our bags, as the front desk was up at the 53rd floor. The front desk guy who served us was very friendly as well. When we asked for a non-corner room, he told us it was not a corner room. But when we went up, it was a corner room. Upon entering the room, there was a very strong smell that lingered in the room and smelled like a room that was cleaned using a dirty mop. After calling the operator to inform about the situation, they did not come right away even after saying they would (this is my first encounter because usually other hotels have the practice of turning up right away when i called). We waited for a long time before we called again. But we had to wait again and decided to leave to inform the front desk of this situation before we went out for our activities. On the night itself, we requested for 2 extra pillows. The staff did not come even after 15-20 mins and so we had to call again and again (even though they said they would). The next morning, we had their breakfast. It was pleasant, but i would say the selections were not that widespread. However, the staff in the restarant were very proactive and friendly. Requested for late check out but the to 12.30pm. All in all, the waiting time for housekeeping was very slow. Sad to say, this hotel did not leave me a very good impression, and rather average, given the price we paid.

Breakfast is ala-carte style but we can order more without additional price. View of the dining area is fantastic. Room is good. Bathtub is phenomenal.

Beautiful location with excellent views due to its height. Front service was top tier, but only within hotel. Breakfast was top notch too. However, gym and pool was a little underwhelming interms of facilities. Once you go to the rooftop bars you get amazing views + food, but service was underwhelming and at times rude. Its sad to see. Wouldve given 4-5 stars but the specific staff were clearly giving better service to selective guests. Just be wary if youre going.

Never stayed with Banyan tree before, according to TRIP.com’s K.L. Top 6 luxury hotel list, I’ve choose this brand for my first ever time and it turns out it’s a bit disappointed. Services was definitely great, everyone were so friendly and helpful. The location was cool, hotel lobby had a lift and a bridge that linked to pavilion shopping mall. Con: safety awareness needs to be improved： On the 56/F, -There’s some broken conquers on the floor right at the edge of a table, where people very often stood there to take photos. -The stairs that walks to the outdoor dinning area are quite narrow, and there’s no lights or warning signs around it, it’s very dangerous to walk at the dark. Hotel itself looks quite new and clean but somehow A number of hardwares are not working properly in the room.

Hotel lives up to the 5 star standard. Service is impeccable and the room carries that comfort ambiance to truly whine down. Had the pleasure to try the spa as well and glad we did. That’s an experience I suggest everyone to try. Staff always had a smile and carried the friendliness at all hours. If I can, would stay here all the time when visiting KL. highly recommend for a getaway!

Outstanding! So far the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Breakfast is well prepared with decent variety of food. The dining area view is superb. The room is very well maintained and housekeeping is well done. The mattress quality was great and no backache after waking up 👍 The staff are very polite and always greeted guest with warm welcome. The service is excellent. Definitely will come again and again.

I was seriously impressed with the breathtaking view of the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower from my bedroom suite. My wife and myself loved everything about the service and hospitality. The swimming pool was a bit too cold for me other than that everything was amazing. Thanks a lot for making our stay a memorable one.

Aside from the small gym, everything’s great! Love the view from my room and from where we had breakfast.
