Golden Beach Resort Reviews

Lovely resort with a great pool area. We stayed in garden villa facing to the pool. The room and bathroom was spacious and look the same in the pictures. Bed is hard as rock. AC worked well. Also, the resort is in a good location right on the beach and close to shops, restaurants and long tail boats ticket. However, there are too many things that need to be improved - 1 key per room is a bad idea and inconvenient. I know the owner wants to save an electricity bill and try to keep its green. - Hot water in the shower didn’t work properly - Most staff look miserable, unfriendly and unprofessional. They need intense training about customer service and communication. - Breakfast was alright, not variety. Everyday food stand cold and always run out. It’s not promptly refilled. Taste was not bad. Juice is cordial not fresh one. Coffee machine looks dirty and tired and could be long line when it’s busy - Housekeeper came very late each day and they didn’t pick up room service dishes until we checked out - Bed linens and pool towels look old and tired. Need changed - Wifi was very slow and it kept dropped out. - the item cost lists made us feel a bit no courtesy and too stingy but it’s understandable. If the management could improve all those issues, this resort would be a great place to stay. Overall for us, we enjoyed our stay here.

Everything was ok in general . But the common complaint of not being offered a king bed is legit. Despite preferring a king size bed, you end up with 2 singles. They did join it manually but still a bit of hiccup at the start . No brush or toothpaste which is weird for a 4 star resort. Food in breakfast is ok ok . Def no go for vegetarian. Nothing in the options for them except salad and milk n bread. Can't beat the location so that is what you are paying for. Location

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It is adjacent to the sea beach. During evening high tide the waves are hardly 20 feet's from the hotel premises. Breakfast is awesome. A very good combination Westen food, asian food, fruits and salads. Hotel staff members are helpful and gracious.

We had a good stay at the hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room is big, has a locker, fridge, balcony with towel rack. Bed is good, for me a little on the hard side, same as the pillows. Room service the first day was okay, not that clean, no new towels. Second day was spotless. And the days after too. Also they give you 2 bottles of water every day. For breakfast I had eggs, fruit, yoghurt, juice, and they have all of it and more. We ate 2 times at the hotel, both times I didn’t like it. The drinks were good though. The pool is big and clean and there are many (comfortable) beds. The towel you can also bring to the beach, which is on the other side of the street. We did a day trip to railey beach (200 both ways by longboat) which is beautiful. But they brought us to the other side and when we came back they don’t provide transportation so you have to walk or take a little car for 100b. If you rent a scooter (200 a day) better follow the car and park there. Overall, I enjoyed it here, and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something near the beach and near all the restaurants and not too expensive.

Great location, large room and very clean. Located at the quiet end of the beach front. Lots to do and it wasn’t noisy at night. Also very friendly staff, I would 100% stay again nice banana split too 😜

Beautiful Aonang Beach front hotel. Lovely swimming pool and beautiful Aonang Beach just in front of the Hotel. Love it so much!

It was our regular place to stay in Krabi for many times.

Cockroach. Itchy blanket. Yellow water. Toilet odor. No elevator. Old air conditioner noise. Dirty air conditioner filter. Old facilities frequent breakdown. Slow Wi-Fi. Old TV. Front staff no English communication. Unkind.

My recent stay at this hotel was a mixed bag of emotions. On the positive side, the room itself was lovely, with a spectacular view that truly took my breath away. Right on the beach , away from The hustle and bustle. Get a good peaceful nights sleep , great soft bed .The breakfast spread was also quite impressive, offering a wide range of options to satisfy any palate. However, there were a few aspects of the service that left me feeling disappointed. Firstly, the attitude of the staff could have been greatly improved. When I realized that there were no toothbrushes in my room, which was supposed to be a deluxe room, I was told that only certain rooms are provided with toothbrushes. This seemed like a strange policy, and it left me feeling slightly inconvenienced. As it was not stated anywhere . Moreover, the way the staff received guests was not as warm and welcoming as one might expect. They appeared to be somewhat rude and unfriendly, not considering that many guests have traveled long distances and may be tired or hungry upon arrival. For instance, upon my arrival, I had to wait five hours before check-in, as I arrived earlier and there was no offer of refreshments like water to help ease the wait. And offer for early check with payment ofcourse … Additionally, when I inquired about the possibility of paying for having breakfast on site when we arrived at 9.30 am I was told it closes at 10 and not offered to go ahead , Luggage storage is outside of reception, not safe or locked up . In summary, while the hotel offered some great amenities like a lovely room and a plentiful breakfast, the service attitude lacked

Reception was impressed during we checked in Bellboy were helpful (I can't remember his name) gave se a but g before I left and was the same bellboy when I was checking in and checking out. Restaurants F&B: not really a pretty good service as we need to call them the waitress all the time from the begin we haven't seat yet. And the waitress seem to me it useless and not really helpfully, (unsatisfied)👎👎👎 don't know how to service even pour the Wine. Plus a glass of Red wine inside the hotel it is a really a glass of 🍷 😆 sorry it seem like a ice cream glass ( improve) plss. Cuz hotel it a middle and a center of along to the ⛱️ shall I discuss with the owner of the hotel. All of them might get fired🙃sorry to say so it fact yah. Housekeeper: cleanliness it a bit good 10 /7 because they were clean the room, but not replace my towel with was I been used. She or he kept hanging as the same place where I hang🥲 should change to a new eh. Overall location it a bit was pretty 👍 Will be back to stay there again. Might ne not Cheers!!

Excellent bungalows right by the beach. Location is fabulous right in the middle of the tourist area with lots of entertainment and food choices. Additionally, great location for tour operators who pick up from this location every day. Hotel also provides beach towels and outdoor shower so no need to bring your towels and extra weight! Do your homework before buying island and adventure packages from the tour operator in the hotel. I was told I was buying a 4 island tour with a speed boat to Phi Phi island come to find out later that was not accurate. Not the hotel fault but wanted to give you my experience. Highly recommend the hotel.

We booked 3 family rooms in the Golden Beach Hotel. The front desk staff was so racist to us; the way she treated us was not acceptable at all. Later, when I asked her why you behaved like this, she said she would call the police, and then I told her to please call, no problem. She needs to be a good human being.

Just at the beach. Great location. Huge villa. Good breakfast. The only downsides: the stuff doesn’t really speak English. Plastic chairs to sit outside are not very comfortable. And looks like they never have hot water in the shower
