This was our first time returning to Thailand after covid, and it definitely did not disappoint. We decided to return to The Verandah Ao Nang, Krabi, because we had a wonderful stay last time, who knew it would be better than ever. Bee, who is a manager at The Verandah, welcomed us back with open arms, and with the biggest smile, her hospitality is second to none, Bee is exceptional at her job. Always there with her local information and great recommendations. Thank you, Bee 🙏 The Verandah is clean, comfortable and close to everything. Breakfast is good with a choice of hot and cold food. The beach is a short walk away, depending on your pace, this place is so relaxed, you walk slower 😆 Just a little advice, as this is a 2 star hotel, soundproofing is not on the list, so bring some some earplugs 🤪 The beds are so comfortable, beach towels are supplied at reception and best of all, you can use the pools and gym at the sister hotel, Peace Laguna! Just one minute walk away. We will definitely be returning to The Verandah Ao Nang, miss it already 😁 Thanks again, Bee ❤️

This place is the ultimate heaven on earth. Of course, the room and facilities were incredible. I don't think I have to mention it here because it's very obvious in photos. But what perfects the experience here is the staff, especially a gentleman named Habib. Habib was our personal assistant for our stay. We have met a lot of great hospitality staff in different places, but he is by far the best person. The reasons are: A. He is a highly organised person. Any guests be lucky if Habib looks after them because he plans and manages your stay there thoroughly. He considers all the situations - your preference, the weather, and your whole trip schedule. Then he suggests the best options you can ever find in Krabi area and the resort. This saves a LOT of energy you would need on a trip such as googling, asking for local knowledge, decision making and stuff. With his assistance, you will have a total hassle, stress-free stay in this beautiful resort. B. Habib is also a very warm, gentle, sweet soul. Not only is he switched on, but also he is a great human. This might sound funny, but you will be able to tell how caring and gentle he is, even just by his buggy car driving skills (lol). There are so many things he offered to do and those are things we didn't even think of. Super impressive. If you're hesitating to book this place because of the price, don't be silly and just do it. It's so very worth it because it comes with a battery of complimentary perks. Warning: The rest of your holiday will be ruined after this place.

Great choice for a family!
We spent a week in Amari vogue resort and we are so happy for our choice! The staff are so nice, helpful with everything we asked to make this experience as comfortable as possible! It’s a very quiet place built with Thai architecture very clean and our upgraded room was big and had all the necessary equipment to make us feel great.
Breakfast has European and Asian dishes and every day they had different selections. Surprisingly, there’s a Starbucks store in it too! We had 4 times dinner at the Marcos beach restaurant and the food was really delicious.
The resort helped us also to book a long tail boat to visit the islands across.
Truly, it’s hard to find negative things in our stay. Maybe for some people they won’t feel comfortable with the lots of stairs but you get used to it fast.
Near the resort there are no shops and you need to ask the reception to book a car to bring you to AoNang, the closest town that has all the necessary stuff, markets, restaurants, pharmacies etc. It’s about 20’ minutes away. There’s a choice to rent a motorbike as well.

This is just a lovely place. From the rooms, the beaches, the service, the food, the landscaping: just about everything is perfect. The two of us stayed in Deluxe Pavilion 309; this had a nice view of the greenery around us from the 2nd floor large window. We preferred not to sit in the patio area on the 1st floor because of a lack of privacy. The two main beaches (Phranang and Railay) are both lovely, we preferred swimming in Phranang and walked on both of them, Phranang was about a 10 minute walk for us and Railay about a 5 minute walk. The walks through the property are just lovely, they have done a fantastic job of landscaping with all kind of tropical plants, but we also took advantage of the golf cart rides when it was raining. The breakfast (which is included) is served till 11 am and has a lot of nice a la carte and buffet style options. We didn't go the Grotto (did not look so special to us and seemed overpriced), but ate at the other two hotel restaurants: Krua Phranang and Raitalay Terrace; both were excellent (and had lovely views of the beach) and we also enjoyed the cocktails at the 4-6 pm happy hour at Raitalay Terrace. The swimming pool is lovely and also has a great veiw of Railay beach. The service at Rayavadee was just exceptional; we want to give a shout out to Joy, who was our server during breakfast, she was just fantastic. We were here during the off-season, the prices are a little lower, and while it did rain a fair amount when were here, we still got to the beach a couple of times a day. All in all, a fantastic stay, we will be back.
Super impressed with this hotel. Great communication - arranging transport to and from the Airport , and flexibility with earlier arrival than initially booked. Room was spacious and clean…plus it was decorated in my fav colours!! Housekeeping kept giving us clean beach towels every day and the rooms were cleaned super fast. The room had amazing views from a spacious balcony. There were a couple of issues - air conditioning wasn’t working too well and a blocked lav - calls to the front desk were answered and someone was sent up right away to fix both problems within 10-20 mins. Very efficient! The breakfast was all you can eat and had a variety of food the choose from…Western and Thai. Spent a lot of time at the beach bar…great drinks (Mango Daiquiri so yum) and the food was great for a quick snack. Plus you can’t beat the view of the beach. Both pools were great as well! I enjoyed my stay and would go back there for sure!! Thank you Ao Nang Villa Resort!

was a nice place to stay with good facilities, though the room had little lighting, would still recommend tho as it was a good place near to krabi and was very good for the price
Luckily we only stayed here 1 night and if it was more I would definitely of moved hotels. We arrived and walked down to the pool area which was very small and there was a run down pool bar which was shut. We then went to see if there was a nice beach and restaurants about locally and there was neither, just a port to get to Railay which we ended up going to mainly to get food and drink. When we turned the air con on there was a strong smell of burning smoke so ended up having a very stuffy night with just a fan blowing. The shower was also awful as the shower head sprayed water in all directions all over the bathroom. The only pros was that they had good WiFi and a comfy bed. We only stayed here as we had an early flight in the morning as it wasn't too far from the airport but would not recommend this hotel at all especially if you are on holiday!
The hotel was run down. The bath had like scale so bad you couldn’t turn the taps. The shower head was broken. Room was also damp and smelt of damp. For price of hotel not worth the stay. We found a hotel for a third of the price which was cleaner and newer.

Outstanding
Mmunirahmarsnumber of people staying really matters to the hotel
- upon checking in they will ask how many people are staying and they strictly wont allow more than 2 people in a room, its their policy
- we came in a group of 3, so we need to pay additional 1000 baht per night. we stayed 3 nights so we need to pay 3000 baht upon checking in
- its impossible to lie to them as their lobby is very open so they definitely can see how many of u guys coming once u drop out from your airport car
- i dont mind and im not angry to the hotel because we need to respect their policy, plus the receptionist is kind and helpful, they talk to u nicely
cleanliness
- the room is very clean and well maintained, nothing to complain. i feel comfortable
- pool is clean as well, i saw they clean the pool every morning
location
- the only downside of this hotel is the location. its not on the mainroad. its a bit far from the beach.
- i book grab around 70baht one way to the beach and shopping streets.
- i book grab around 90baht one way to aonang landmark night market
- i book grab around 70baht one way to aonang muslim street food
- if u’re planning to rent a motorbike then the location of this hotel doesnt really matter
breakfast
- all halal breakfast
- variety choices of food
- breakfast served from 6.30am - 11am
- one male staff on duty name Music was really kind and pleasant. he always check on the guests to make sure we have a good breakfast experience in the hotel
amenities
- i love that this hotel uses an app for us to order additional amenities daily. its very easy and convenient
- after u order from the app, the housekeeper will send the items to your room
luggage storage and weighing scale
- they provide luggage storage without additional service charge
- and they have big weighing scale for u to weigh your luggage before going to the airport
hotel lobby
- the hotel lobby is open concept hence there is no aircond
- so if your return flight is late at night like in my case, after checking out, we went to the nearest coffee shop to sit and relax with aircond
overall experience
- satisfied
GGuest UserWe stayed in a chalet suite, which was a great size. The rooms are spotlessly clean and rooms attended to daily. I'm glad we chose this room as I can imagine it's a bit of a trek uphill to the rooms further back. The bed was rock hard but not uncomfortable. The shower was always hot and powerful, which I loved. The grounds were always clean and tidy too. The WiFi in the room is a bit on and off but works great at the pool and cafe. You can also connect your phone to the smart TV. The pool is really nice and peaceful with a bar to order food and drinks. They do bogof cocktails at happy hour too. The breakfast was very average. Everyone could find something to eat but nothing special. For this reason, we did eat out for breakfast after a couple of days. They have an omelette station, streaky bacon, toast, cereal, fruit, Thai food etc. One day we ate at the cafe and I was left fuming at how long we had to wait for our food. There were 3 staff on duty but we were the only people in the whole cafe. We waited over an hour for a basic meal and then when it arrived it was wrong. I had ordered fries with my burger and I waited 90 mins just for fries which i had to eat separate to the burger. No cutlery either. The location was perfect. Right around the corner from the night market and not a long walk to bars and restaurants. The busier street can easily be reached by tuk tuk on the corner for a cheap price. Overall, it was a great choice and would return.
GGuest UserThank you very much to the boss 🙏🏻 Because I made a mistake in booking on the same day, it was entirely my problem. I booked this hotel without knowing clearly that the hotel was outside Phi Phi Island. Thank you to the boss for his kindness and finally agreeing to cancel the order, and thank you to Trip for their customer service. I will specifically choose this hotel to stay next time🙏🏻

GGuest UserThis is the third time I have stayed at this hotel, and it is the first time after the epidemic. I have always been very satisfied with Apple One Day Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Great location, close to 2 beaches. The service at the front desk is top, and I especially commend Satayu and Suttirak of the front desk. They are friendly to all guests and help them in many ways. In addition, the tourist information desk in the hotel lobby is absolutely satisfactory. The business is good. The staff lady Enus can speak multiple languages, even fluent Chinese, I like book day tour with her. The scenery of Krabi is amazing beautiful, the hotel facilities are also very good, and the swimming pool is beautiful. There are biscuits and potato chips in the room every day for free. Next time I come to Krabi, I will definitely continue to stay in this hotel.
PPakawadeeLovely resort with a great pool area. We stayed in garden villa facing to the pool. The room and bathroom was spacious and look the same in the pictures. Bed is hard as rock. AC worked well. Also, the resort is in a good location right on the beach and close to shops, restaurants and long tail boats ticket. However, there are too many things that need to be improved
- 1 key per room is a bad idea and inconvenient. I know the owner wants to save an electricity bill and try to keep its green.
- Hot water in the shower didn’t work properly
- Most staff look miserable, unfriendly and unprofessional. They need intense training about customer service and communication.
- Breakfast was alright, not variety. Everyday food stand cold and always run out. It’s not promptly refilled. Taste was not bad. Juice is cordial not fresh one. Coffee machine looks dirty and tired and could be long line when it’s busy
- Housekeeper came very late each day and they didn’t pick up room service dishes until we checked out
- Bed linens and pool towels look old and tired. Need changed
- Wifi was very slow and it kept dropped out.
- the item cost lists made us feel a bit no courtesy and too stingy but it’s understandable.
If the management could improve all those issues, this resort would be a great place to stay. Overall for us, we enjoyed our stay here.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 12 nights in march 2023. We have no bad things to say about this hotel - the rooms are lovely, the pool is amazing with beautiful views of greenery and the sunset. Breakfast is very peaceful as you sit looking out over the view, and was quiet each day we ate. We tried the floating breakfast one morning which cost 300 baht (around £7.50 for 2 people). This was lovely and felt very luxurious. There is a free shuttle to and from the beach/high street however we decided to rent a motorbike from reception which at first we were sceptical about getting it up and down the hill with 2 people on but we did it multiple times a day with no issues. The staff were very helpful, sorting our airport transfers and motorbike quickly, and the maids were very kind too. Overall we would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area and want to stay somewhere with luxury for a good price. Thank you, Andakiri!!
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel staff were all amazing and very helpful. They collected us from the pier with our bags and carried them directly to the room, and the same leaving the island. The hotel is all individual tree top cabins. This can be a hike/long walk up a hill to the room depending on which one you stay in. The hotel is located on the beach with a private beach which is lovely. You can walk across the beach for 3 minutes to the main path around Phi Phi. 5 minute walk from the hotel to restaurants/shops. Taking 15 minutes to walk to the pier. Or you can get a tail boat taxi directly from the hotel beach to take you around the island or day trips. The hotel’s breakfast was 5/10. The average buffet style breakfast. The pool bar doesn’t exist when we were there and doesn’t look like it has been open in a long time. The rooms were cleaned everyday. I would not recommend the hotel for young children or people with reduced mobility.

GGuest UserWe planned to stay at this hotel for two nights. We checked in and reception looked ok. There was no lift to get to the bedrooms so had to carry the suitcases and bag packs up the stairs. We walked into the room and honestly I have no words! There was bugs everywhere, it was dirty, stains on the sheets. The bed was like concrete and we immediately knew we could not stay in that room. When trying to get out the door would also not lock. The couple we were travelling with had an even worse room then ours. These rooms were on a very busy loud street. We went to reception and they showed my partner a different rooms that both couples have. This was better but these rooms were NOT under PP Charlie hotel this was under PP Princess hotel. The woman reassured that this was a quiet room. The room was bigger and more comfortable, a lot more like the pictures provided upon the PP Charlie website. Most importantly it was clean and the air con worked. This room was double the price on top of what we had already payed. On the night we again had to ask to move as the base of music from a tattoo shop had the bed vibrating. The hotel was accommodating in letting us move 3 doors up where it was more quiet. The swimming pool is nothing at all like the pictures. Please do not be fooled by the pictures of this hotel. This hotel needs a lot of TLC.

Hey, I see so many bad posts on here. They’re unfair. Myself, I could not believe the beautiful place I stayed in for only $70 Canadian dollars/night. It was the best all around hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and huge… Like really huge. The pool, the staff, the buffet, everyone in my family was all smiles all the time. Nearby Night Market close by, was icing on the cake. Huge win staying here. I highly recommend it.
HHMurrayThe service for this hotel was amazing. Our luggage was collected and taken to the hotel from the port and the manager/lady at reception was so kind, helpful and enthusiastic and made us feel really welcome. The hotel location is a little far despite being a small island and the hill is steep but it didn’t stop us from going out or enjoying phi phi. It made it feel more secluded if that’s what you are after and the view from the pool of the beach was amazing with a few nice quiet bars around, just not near the center. The room itself was quite disappointing, the smell was bad, there was a massive cockroach on its back in the bathroom and when the shower was on the light in the bathroom flickered.
