This hot spring hotel is situated very close to the Kotohira train station. Our booking included set dinner and breakfast buffet. Food is delicious and you get pretty full. Room is spacious and air-con is cool which is crucial during the hot summer. The hot spring is segregated between men and women; opens until midnight. There is a free shuttle bus available which takes you to and from the train station. I arrived at Kotohira around noon and that morning I had the hotel staff where I stayed in another town to call this onsen hotel to pick me up.

This is a large hot spring hotel that is easy to find when you get out of the station. It is not far from Kotohira-gu Shrine on foot, and you can borrow hiking poles at the hotel entrance to climb the stairs.
