The hotel had quite a season facilities and required a new paint job on the facade. Additionally, a minor crack needed fixing, and the bathroom tiles needed polishing. The marks from drilling should be touched up and hidden to restore the pleasant appearance it carries in holidays villa brand . However, the service at the front desk and the hospitality from the staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel at home. I would definitely come back for another stay.

Big hotel and nicely decorated at the lobby but not enough staff. I called room services as I would like to get the towel changed because the towels provided in the room are too old and looked brown instead of white clean. No one at room service picks up the phone. Finally have to come at the reception and ask for towel change. No hair dryer provided in the room. I think the hotel at this rating should have done better. However the hotel location is really good for me.

This hotel is located quite centrally, close to a lot of Kota Bharu attractions and it was picked as it is easy to reach HUSM from here. The room itself is dated but clean. However, the hallway of my floor which was at the 16th floor was mouldy with some roof leaking. Hope that gets repair soon. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The winning point for this hotel is the breakfast. Absolutely delicious and so many Malaysian delicacies and East Coast speciality like Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Kacang Pool, kuih akok and a lot more. It had to be one of the best hotel's breakfasts menus that I had ever experience and taste. Hope the chef stays on.

Booked one night on a whim as it is the only one with an available room in KB town proper. Wasn't expecting an amazing hotel, but having stayed there for one night, I think the hotel is great, and the staff are very professional and very courteous I might add. Room is clean, albeit a bit small, but no issue. There's some slight issue with sound as people kept opening and closing doors within my floor. Hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, convenience store and 24/7 laundry. Breakfast is limited, but it's enough to fill you up (Mihun goreng is too greasy though). Definitely recommended, but make sure to book in advance as they can easily get fully booked. I wanted to do a late checkout, but since my room is already taken, they couldn't accommodate my request. But that's fine.

Overall the stay was a pleasant one, the hotel strategic location is a plus for ease of travelling to all major attractions in the adjacent such as pasar siti khadijah and others, near and in walking distance to 7 eleven and other eateries. Hotel room is not spacious but in a clean and neat condition. no odor and whatnot, the lift working well and this hotel have plenty parking space (open car park just exactly in front of the hotel & limited basement parking on the hotel building itself. Lobby is very welcoming and there is a decent cafe/ coffee house/ restaurant in the lobby area. This hotel is a hidden gem in Kota Bharu apart of all the other well known hotels, i prefer this hotel and definitely will be returning in near future.

I used to stayed here for 2 days 1 Night. Its not for honeymoon actually, its because we just need a place to take a nap since we need to give space for our relatives to stay at home. So, we prefered to look for budget hotel. We thought Ridel is perfect one since the environment and scenery were good so far, near to the river and strategic if you are hungry for every two hours, because theres a lot of restaurants surrounding even till midnight. The room condition was okay but maybe the price was not a the lowest rate or not match with the room condition, but still in affordable price. Quite unsatisfied when we found that our bed sheet got stained, when we call receptionist to change it, they just gave us they new one and asked us to change it by ourselves. Actually, they should check on the facilities and room condition to make sure its cleans for another guests. However, Im not saying that its a poor services, since its affordable and not too expensive. Maybe, they can improve about their housekeeping.

Average accommodation. Good location if you are into night market shopping. Other than that, there is nothing much around it. Staffs are rigid when I request to see the room. Reason being every year guests have the same complaint subject - the bathroom. We checked in at 7.30pm and request for late check-out the next day. Front staff informed that there is a surcharge of RM$30/hour. And I was just asking till 1pm. Breakfast can skip. Good thing only is the spacious room and the carpark. Overall- building & service need to be improvised. And I think the air-con in the lobby is off after breakfast. For all this, to me the rate is expensive.
