Hotels Near Bang Bao Beach in Koh Kood

The hotel left a pleasant impression. A cozy bay. Sometimes there is garbage in the water, but the beach is good. There is a bike rental. The lowest category houses are simple, but they have air conditioning, a kettle, a hair dryer and a refrigerator. The house has cracks, so there may be guests. Freshly renovated toilet, clean. Breakfasts are quite normal, but not tasty, but you can choose something. Different types of coffee, different fruits. During strong tides, the beach line is quite narrow.

The environment did not have to say, open the door is the sea view, the hotel breakfast is a set meal, the choice is effective, but the lunch is still very delicious, the price is a little expensive, but it is acceptable. The service staff are very enthusiastic. I am seasick and I asked them for a seasickness medicine.

The highlight staying at Baan Suan is definitely the passionate hospitality of host Lily, would is happy to go above and beyond to help make your Koh Kood stay fun and memorable. I stayed at the standard room, which looked a bit different to the photos, generally clean but beware of flying ants at night when you have your lights on, and also for small geckos and the likes (toilet and shower is also outside of room, which is something not mentioned at booking, for people who are wary of mosquitos and other insects going to the bathroom at night might want to consider an upgrade in room). Location is on the main road 10 easy mins walk to Bang Bao beach. Otherwise there's restaurants and cafés within 15mins walk either direction of road. All in all, recommended to stay here if you'd like a homefeel to the chilled vibes of Koh Kood!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏

The wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach … But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) . But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible. The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) . It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing.. it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..

Beautiful cabin, bright room, great location on the west slope, close to a beautiful sandy beach with colorful fish stocks. Most of the staff were friendly, the cleanliness of the room was adequate. The biggest problem was some unpleasant guests. It was a nice stay. Thank you very much for that.

A beautiful, peaceful location with a lovely spacious lawn area overlooking the sea. The cabin was basic but comfortable with a well designed outdoor bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyes our stay there.

The service you get at Far East is great. Ask for something and it happens straight away. We asked reception for bins to be changed and it happened straight away. I then asked cleaners to do it all days we were there and they did plus new towels and waters. The breakfast has a good variety. There is a guy who makes coffees for you and you can see he takes pride in the craft. On our third day he saw us walk in and made it without asking- lovely. The grounds are well looked after. It seems to be raked every day. There was a cat poo near our room one morning. When we came home from exploring, it was gone. It is walking distance to resteraunts. We'd stay again.

Let's start with the pros: the hotel is new, everything is done well, the rooms are modestly furnished, but have a minimum of everything. The location is good, the beach is nearby, literally a 3-5 minute walk depending on the pace. The mattress and pillows are good, there is hot (through a water heater) and cold water. There is Internet, but the speed is not fantastic. The staff is smiling, kind, they understand almost no English. Towels from the room can be used as beach towels and returned every day in exchange for new ones. The territory is small, there are no sun loungers. You can rent a bike for 300 baht, like taking the keys, then throwing them on the table and goodbye, no one inspects bikes. The bike is Honda click 125, in good condition, they don't care if you have a license, that's your problem, they give you a helmet, but everyone on the island rides without one, although there is plenty to kill yourself in, a lot of steep hills and a road made of concrete slabs, in places with good cracks for the wheel to lead. Now the downsides: mosquitoes, there are a lot of them, small, it seems that they are not there, but they are. Buy repellents, especially for the socket at night. Breakfast is complete trash, 3 courses and that's it, the same thing day after day, you can live for 2-3 days, then you get bored. The BIGGEST downside of this hotel is the audibility, you will hear EVERYTHING, the farts and snoring of neighbors, everything that happens on the street, since the glass there is single, it is not even a double-glazed window. One concrete slab, if someone drops something far away on the tile in the room, you will know about it. Noisy refrigerator. The restaurant, which is this hotel, does not give discounts for residents, the food is bad, there are always a lot of people there, drinking beer and eating, there are even queues, I gave it 2 chances, but this is really bad, even when compared with neighboring establishments. If you want fish, eat in the fishing village, it is 15 minutes by bike, no need in this restaurant. There are palm trees along the path to the beach, it's cool, but the staff doesn't cut coconuts from them, you're walking through a minefield, you play roulette every day, for some reason they cut them on the territory of large hotels, here no one cares. There is no kettle in the room and the room itself is tiny, you can't even open your suitcases. If you're traveling alone, then it's fine, if you're traveling as a couple and with suitcases and for more than 3 days, you don't need to come here.

Rooms are very nice the only downside of the room was barely no hot water. Beach is beautiful. Service and staff was good ok but lots of trainees and not well managed and trained personell. Breakfast was way under average in terms of quality and especially variety. Not even 3 stars in this respect. Food and service at the beach restaurant was good especially the service from K. Namphung and her team was very good. Cleanliness of the entire resort including pathways, water ponds can be improved.
