We stayed for two nights at the Taj Malabar, where we were warmly welcomed with a traditional dance by the staff. The room was clean, comfortable, and the service was prompt. Elizabeth connected with us via call and WhatsApp before our arrival to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and the evening cruise, paired with delightful evening tea, was a standout experience. If you're looking to experience the Taj, I would recommend this property over the Taj Palace.

Well located for us next door to the latest Chef Pillai restaurant and a 12 minute walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Beds were very comfortable. Service friendly and helpful with maps and arranging a tour guide. Breakfast had a good range of foods. Poor wifi and the lowest fan setting for AC was still a bit strong for us, but overall a very welcoming experience as we start our Indian adventure.

We spent 8 happy days at this little gem of a hotel in early March 2024. The lush grounds, family atmosphere and fine restaurant made for a pleasant stay. The restaurant draws diners from outside the hotel with fine food and closeup harbor view. The atmosphere is quiet and green, the accommodations are clean and simple. The front desk arranged tours of fishing villages and backwater sites. We checked in on my birthday and it was an excellent present.

The rooms of no 18 hotel are quite spacious with plenty of light. The property is good but has not been maintained properly. We stayed for six days in this property during jun e and it was off season with barely any guests. We were given the deluxe room on our first day. Because of a design defect in the false ceiling, the fan's air doesn't reach our bodies properly. The ac also wasn't working and since the windows are sealed, it was quite stuffy inside and we could not sleep properly the entire life. The next day after much persuasion, we were shifted to another room which was smaller but whose ac was working. The restaurant also wasn't very functional due to insufficient guests i suppose. But we did have breakfast one day and the dosa was not bad at all. So, this is an inexpensive hotel but not well maintained.
