Arima Onsen Hotspring
The interior of the hotel is very elegant. Dinner and breakfast are set-style. We added a Kobe beef, which is very good value. There are many choices of hot springs, especially the various skin care products provided. The quality is very good. Enjoy slowly and make your own facial mask. And pedicure. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good, walking in the alleys of the town, admiring the red maple leaves, soaking in the hot springs in Jintang, and then eating the value and authentic Kobe beef. I am so drunk!

We wanted to have breakfast and inquired with hotel. They shared that the restaurant wasn't open. We sat down in the lobby to search for some other options, when the gentleman at the desk came over and stated the restaurant was open and ready for us. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who informed us she was limited in certain items that morning. No problem for us at all and we ordered our food. Everything was so good that my children ended up ordering second meals. It wasn't until we had paid and were leaving and thanking her that she apologized for not having a ”full” menu but she was actually closed until the hotel called and asked her if she could serve us. I'm not sure many places offer that level of service anymore, and we are so grateful and appreciative for all she did for us. Thank you so much!!

Pros: service, amenities, Western and Japanese style rooms, food, location Cons: there is no elevator in this old Japanese building, so prepare to walk up stairs; the wifi reception in our room was not reliable We had an absolutely amazingly relaxing stay during our 3-day-2-night trip, enjoying the peace Tocen Goshobo had to offer, as well as their exceptional customer service. I searched high and low to finally find this ryokan with very specific amenities. Since my elderly parents had issues with getting up from the floor had we stayed in a traditional ryokan only, while I wanted to enjoy the full traditional ryokan experience, the Deluxe Suite with Private Hot Spring and Sauna was the perfect compromise for both our wants and needs. The Deluxe Suite has both two full sized western beds that were perfect for my parents, and the tatami sitting room that could be closed off for me to sleep in with my super comfy futon bedding. By no means is the room and experience itself a compromise, as my father kept calling it the ‘Presidential suite’ since it was on the top floor, and we had abundant space with our own onsen attached to the room! The room can fit 6 total guests, and has a secret playroom, a seating nook/area with perfect natural light, a dining room with regular table and chairs (in other ryokans, my tall Caucasian husband commented on how much he missed having actual chairs with space for your legs to stretch when seated), an office, a powder room, two bidet toilets rooms, a space to prepare tea with its own sink in the tatami room, and let’s not forget the massage chair. The room was clean, tastefully appointed, had everything we needed and plenty of space to either gather, or spend some ‘me time’. We opted for breakfast and dinner at the inn, which we looked forward to each day. The breakfast was pleasant and filling, while the kaiseki dinners were amazing. Kobe beef was featured as well as plenty of seafood both nights. We had a great time with our host, Yoshinori Tatebe-san, who tolerated my many questions of ‘what is this?’ or ‘how do we eat this?!’; his professionalism absolutely made our meals a tremendous delight! The location of the ryokan/onsen is ideal, walking distance to everything and right next to a bus stop. It’s in the heart of the Arima area, which has many temples, restaurants, and shops to explore. One cannot deny the outstanding customer service Tocen Goshobo’s team offers. Shout out to Hatsumi and Matsu at the front desk, making sure we were well taken care of, offering absolutely above and beyond service! When Hatsumi was helping me get settled on my first day arrival, I had asked her about the beautiful tokonoma (alcove) that was in the wa****su (tatami room). Unfortunately, I had asked so many questions she couldn’t quite answer me fully! A few days later, she showed me a note where she apparently took the time to think over my question and write it out in English so I would understand the importance of the a

When i arrived with my friend, we were greeted warmly at the entrance and were explained everything at the front desk. After the check in, the Lady showed and explained to us the common rooms as well as the bath. Rooms were very good. The cafe area is also very good. Well i can go on forever like that. Long story short i very much recommend this Hotel, especially for couples. Just the price makes it not possible to come here more frequently^^. They have a shuttle service as well, even so the station is just 5 minute walk from the ryokan. But i guess for elderly people or people with heavy luggage that might be a help. The breakfast was great, with the ladys in Kimono explaining a bit and the view was superb. Most restaurants close in the evening, so we could see a lot of people storming the convenient stores^^. As for most of the Hotels: The staff is what makes the difference. And here i give them a special thanks. Very kind, friendly and helpful. I hope they will be there again when i come next time. improvement tipps: No lockers in one of the Onsen. Also the Phone had no description, so not even a japanese person know what number to dial -.- . Also for me personally i would like that the opening times for the cafe area is longer. It is so comfortable there^^.

Arima Onsen Hotspring
I took a flight around my daughter's open campus and went to the hot spring trip with my family. However, the time is quite severe, the last weekend of the Bon Festival holiday, except for the hot springs, and the color 々 while looking for one night breakfast plan, At this time, there was a relatively inexpensive setting, so if you go, you want to enter the hot spring! I decided to stay here. ① appearance It was simple without feeling old, there was no luxury like a tourist hotel, and it was a little good business hotel ② parking lot It's a mess. The lift parking lot is combined with the plane, but the parking and key management are left to the attendant. It was a new car for one month, so I was worried about it ③ Rooms It was a Japanese style room with futon and bed because it was a room with five families. The futon on the Japanese room side was guided to prepare it by themselves, so I laid three people... The table was large and it was quite disturbing to lay three people. I think it is worried about the family who likes TV because it is located in the position where the TV cannot be seen from the Japanese room, and it can only be seen from the western room side. In addition, there was no switch with wall in the lighting of the room, and the Japanese room was an old-fashioned string, and the western room was confused because it was operated by a switch between beds. All the yukata that was standing were medium sizes. It was hard for me who usually uses large 〜 extra large. ④ Bath I was looking forward to it because it seems to be Arima, both gold and silver hot water are pulled, but ... for the time being ... bathtub is narrow ... 3 people on the gold hot water side, 5 people on the silver hot water side will be full if they are soaked in the bathtub The bathroom is about 10 seats, and the whole bathroom feels narrow. The other thing I was worried about was the Noten bath. It was written in the room, but it was far from the public bath... once, You need to take a hot water in a public bath and then wear a yukata and move it. And the destination is in front of the passage to the public bath, and if there is a person who goes to the bath, it is always passing. No ... yukata and bath towels are wet ... I wonder if it's not something ... There is only one entrance to the Noten bath, one corridor with an outdoor plate, and the men's hot water and the women's hot water are divided ... There is a bathtub right in front of you, and there is a dressing room next to it. If you enter the bathtub and five people, you can't move around. . . you can see the person walking when you are soaked in the bathtub ⑤ rest Use at the run breakfast buffet. Because it is a family of 5, I used 3 tables for 2 people together and used it ... The table is small ... When someone sat down, it was so close that I could not help but walk across the side to take the refill. Overall, there was no big negative point, and it was like a recreational place for old-fashioned companies.

Very beautiful Japanese style room! Bigger than expected, the room actually looks nicer than the pictures. The elder brother at the door was very enthusiastic, recommended us places to eat nearby, and helped us locate the station. A very satisfying night! (Very suitable for couples, the bathtub is huge!!
