I booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.

The room was nice and clean, but there was no shower, so you had to use the shared bathroom. Also, the quality of the dinner was poor, that's all.

The hotel is located too deep, there is no shuttle bus, you have to walk a lot uphill, there is basically no service in the guest rooms, and you have to make your own beds.

It's so clean and friendly, I'd love to visit again if I get the chance. The hot springs are also fantastic. It was quiet, clean, and the food was delicious.

If you have a car, this is a ryokan where you can stay comfortably. The hot spring room is small but has a great atmosphere. The welcome drink is also good. The staff is very friendly.

The hot spring is small, but there are few people, and there are both gold and silver hot springs.
Meals are between 350 and 600 per person, which is pretty good. Breakfast is more than 100 per person, which is quite cost-effective.
The front desk can communicate in English or a translator depending on the personnel situation, and the service attitude is very good.
There was a foreign waiter in the restaurant who said he was learning English, but his English was actually very good.
There were no reviews when booking, so it was a successful adventure.
