Next to the hotel the tram stop to Strasbourg, the big Lid market, McDonalds .... The hotel is at the edge of the down town walking area and two minutes walk to a big supermarket and two minutes the other way to the railway station. It was cold and wet when I stayed there, but the town was nicely decorated for Christmas. The room is a good size and very well constructed. The only odd thing is that I never found out how to turn off the bathroom lights. In fact on entering the room, it takes some time how to turn on any lights! The shower is comfortable, but I think the decision not to install a shower door might come back to haunt the hotel in the years to come as the bathroom floor will suffer with the stains. There is a small desk of adequate size, and the Wi-Fi was fast and free. Breakfast is included and is great. On leaving at 04:45, the staff offered to make me a coffee to go. I arrived from Hamburg by plane into Strasbourg. However, I should have taken the train, so I suggest anyone review that option. I flew out of Strasbourg which was €55 by taxi.
