Hotel Thilon

I arrived in Sri Lanka at 3am because my flight got delayed. On the hotel’s page, it says 24hour counter service. However, when I arrived at the door, there was no one. I knocked on the door, rang the phone numbers and got no reply at all so I had to rearrange my stay at 3am. Later on, I reached out to trip.com’s customer service. The team was very helpful but the hotel claimed that there were staffs, and tried to table around and said that I didn’t show up. Overall very terrible experience.

The picture of the room on your website and the physical room looks very bad . Washroom and bed condition is very bad

This guy made out transfer so easy. The transportation was included and we slept like babies in his place. If you are transiting in colombo he is the person to go to. We had an early departure and a late arrival and he made it possible. Thank you my friend … until next time

The staff and manager at this hotel are very helpful. We arrived just before dinner and they cooked us a delicious meal. Room was clean, comfortable, had cold AC, and was quiet. We got a proper, peaceful sleep without the hustle and bustle of the street noise. There's not much within walking distance as this is in a neighborhood. However, the manager arranged a ride for us nearby when we needed to get to an ATM. This is not a large hotel. They don't accept credit cards, that's the only downfall. Don't let the alleyway deter you. It's a nice place for an overnight layover. Also breakfast was superb. They held our luggage while we took a quick day trip. We will be staying here again on our next visit to Colombo.
