We have spent unfortunately just one night here but we have loved it. Great location, just 450 mt from the main train station, large and comfy room, excellent reception and outsanding stay. We have enjoyed everything of this stay. there is also the chance to relax in the cosy and nice SPA, we will try it next time for sure! Thanks. Very recomended

It is a decent hotel for just a one-night stay. We booked the last room of this hotel, and unfortunately, we probably got the worst one. Our room was supposed to be two twins or one queen..but the two beds we got didn’t match. It was one tiny double (they called it a European Queen) and a twin bed. We couldn’t push the two beds together, so we had to squeeze into the double bed. We are pretty slim, but it was still very uncomfortable. The room was also an ADA-accessible room, so the design was not optimal for someone that didn’t require assistance. Lastly, I noticed no mini fridge or AC (we didn’t need it). The receptionist was friendly, but no one was there at 8 am when we checked out. We didn’t pay extra for breakfast, but the dining room looked lovely. Parking was free on the street overnight (till 8 am). The hotel (with an elevator) felt historic and grand, but we didn’t get that same experience in our room.

My partner and I have stayed at the Hornigold many times during our regular visits to this area. The apartments are always superb value for money, they are comfy, clean and welcoming. Each apartment offers subtle differences, spa baths, luxury showers, check out the website for details of each apartment and what it offers. The staff are amazing, always on hand to offer help or advice, nothing is too much trouble. Always with a welcoming smile. Breakfast is recommended, the food on offer is great, hot and cold options and plenty of amazing home made cakes and biscuits to sample. The location is ideal, close to the mainline rail and new bus terminal, great for travellers not choosing to hire a car. Talking of cars, there is secure car parking available for minimal cost, but an added bonus for sure. As is the spa facilities on the lower floor. What more could any weary traveller wish for. Please do try the Hornigold Apartments, each one has its own character, sample the hospitality on offer, and see for yourself what value for money this place is. Highly recommended.
