クラシック音楽好きなオーナーご夫婦の人柄があたたかく本当に素敵で、ホテル内は品の良い調度品がたくさん飾られています。食器もインテリアもなにもかもが素晴らしいセンスです。 ダイニングでいただく夕食は時間が決まっていて、とっても美味しいお料理が次々と運ばれてきます。 朝食はおしゃれでボリューム満点！森に囲まれて小鳥のさえずりを聞きながら頂く健康的で美味しい朝食はまさに、世界一の朝食だと思いました。 部屋は1室ずつオペラのヒロインの名前がつけられて、各作品をテーマにした内装になっています。オペラに詳しくなくても、手作りの説明書きがあるので興味をそそられます。 館内は森を望める露天風呂を含め、どこも清掃が行き届きとても清潔感があります。 今回初めての宿泊でしたが、自宅の部屋でくつろいでいるような感覚をおぼえ、非常にリラックスできたのが印象的でした。私はホテルに泊まる機会が多いですが、こんな感覚になれるホテルはなかなかありません。 テラスから森の散策に出かけることができます。運がよければリスに出会えることもあるそう。軽井沢の朝の森は、新鮮な空気が上等な化粧水のごとく体に沁み入るようでした。 オーナーが東京でのサラリーマンをリタイアしてから創業したというピッコロホテル オペラ軽井沢は、昨年20周年を迎えられたそうです。すごいことです。しかし、たくさんの観光客から愛されるホテルなのだろうと納得ができます。 必ずまた宿泊に訪れてオーナーご夫妻にもお会いしたいです。思い出に残る滞在となりました。
