Thank you so much for such a warm welcome! It was a really pleasant and incredible stay! Very quiet and pleasant location! The couple is really nice and welcoming, we felt at home! The meals and breakfast are local and really copious. The hosts were really attentive from beginning to end... I won't forget this stay and I recommend it 100%.

We were looking for a getaway from colombo life and we found our excellent relaxation place with an amazing view of the forest ... me and my daughter visited the place and they treated us like family made us feel at home and offered us a ride on the upper side of Hanthana as well . Looking forward to visit very soon again .

The ideal name for this property is Hanthana Home Stay. Because owner is living in the same premises and no privacy if booked more than 4 rooms.Guest had to face completely uncomfortable situation during the stay because of the wrong branding of the property.

This is managed as a house for guests and the management is the friendliest and most supportive of that kind we have ever experienced from a business of this nature. Highly recommended and assure that you can receive the greatest hospitality there!

Absolutely amazing place , fantastic location with a lovely a**osphere. The service was also exceptional, everyone was really friendly and welcoming making us feel at home. Can’t wait to go back, highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it.

We stayed HHR for 4 days , I wish I could stay longer than four days . Food was so yummy , very clean rooms are big . Enjoyed been watching monkeys. I will recommend this who wants to stay.we will definitely choose to stay our next visit to Sri Lanka.

I wish to say this is a wonderful place to stay, in lovely peaceful surroundings and only a tuktuk ride away from the city. So tranquil and surrounded by so much nature, a lovely place to relax after a day in the city or touring. The hosts are so nice and accommodating giving a real Sri Lankan welcome and cannot to do enough for you, and the food is sooo yummy! I really recommend Hanthana Holiday Rooms!

The guest house is surrounded by a cool and lush forest, at the end of a quiet residential street filled with beautiful white villas. It is a paradise of flowers, trees, monkeys and birds. We came for 2 days, but ended up staying 10 days! We felt welcomed and cared for by our host, Ananda and his lovely wife. The 2nd floor AC King family room was large with giant wall-to-wall windows and a private balcony overlooking the jungle canopy. My husband and I relaxed there, watching the parrots at sunset. The cool mountain breeze meant we weren't bothered by mosquitos, and all 4 of us slept like babies. Ananda provided all transport to Kandy, even Sigiriya. Best of all, he expertly helped us to organize doctor's appoin**ents, covid-19 booster shots...anything we needed! We enjoyed hikes to tea plantations nearby, and we took all 3 meals per day at the guest house, which was easy for us as a family and delicious, with a changing menu everyday. This place was the peaceful rest we needed after travelling for a month, and it was a great jumping off point for Sigiriya and/or Ella. Highly recommend Hanthana Holiday Rooms! It is a hidden oasis -- and only 5min drive from the center of Kandy city.

Wonderful place, lovely hosts. Authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. First day in the country and made for a really special start. Make sure to have the breakfast, delicious. Hosts will do all they can to help with ongoing journey. A pleasure all round. Do stay!
