The most perfect little hotel Stylish and well designed colonial style bedrooms in an 18th c house Grounds and pool to die for The best service Delicious food and cocktails Despite a recent name and management change ( back to owners ) we absolutely loved this peaceful little oasis 15 mins Tuktuk from bustling kandy With our room came a charming and butler Prasanna who was on call at all times to take orders for meals and deliver them , arrange laundry , wash muddy shoes and arrange transport If we return to Sri Lanka we will definitely return

We stayed 2 nights at Adigar’s Manor and absolutely loved our experience. On arrival, we were welcomed with an incredible and extensive high tea in the beautiful garden – such a warm start to our stay. Our room was spectacular, with a stunning bathtub in the center, a separate living room, and even a connecting room with its own bathroom for the children. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the gorgeous surroundings, and the owner kindly took us on a walk to a nearby temple, which was very special. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly – at times we even felt we had someone entirely at our disposal. We truly enjoyed our two days here and would definitely love to return in the future.

Charming small hotel in colonial style. Tucked away from Kandy craziness but close enough to explore and visit. Unparalleled service from our butler who gave discrete and exemplary care throughout our stay. Amazing tea too!

We stayed at the Manor for 2 nights and got upgraded to the Rajah suite, really nice room. The room was big and cozy, very well maintained. Our butler took care of us during the stay in such a professional, yet kind way. We are grateful. We wanted to do some yoga? He set up two yoga mats on the spa deck, we needed a lunch pack for the train ride? No problem. The Manor has an incredible pool, views of the rice paddies, a lush garden, it is quiet and serene. For dinner they always repare a menu for you to look at : meat, fish and veggie options. The food is delicious ! Refined and healthy. You order breakfast in the evening and again, there are plenty of options to choose from whether you want to stick to bread, jam or eggs, or try something more local. They keep filling up your bottles with drinkable water. We absolutely loved staying at the Manor and would recommend the place in a heartbeat. Thank you !

It was wonderful to stay in this old property, so well maintained giving an insight into its history. Sitting on the veranda with. G&T whilst watching the tropical rains envelop us was so relaxing. Helpful yet discreet staff. Superb breakfast and evening menu changed on a daily basis, although limited to a few choices the dishes were outstanding. Costly, but an unforgettable experience, a small hotel with only 9 rooms but this made it more special and intimate, ideal for couples.

A charming hotel of understated beauty sitting comfortably within a luscious natural setting. My breath was taken away as I walked into a space which was at the same time welcoming and calming. Light flooding in from the garden..beautiful furniture designed by Geoffrey Bawa who also designed the alterations to this house and subtly turned it into an unforgettable place to stay and savour the moment.

Two nights here and we wished we were staying longer. The house and gardens are beautiful. Our room was large as was the bathroom and had its own private terrace where we chose to have breakfast and could have had dinner. The staff seemed to be always on hand for whatever we wanted and the food was excellent - particularly their 10 curry night.
