It's really a hard-to-describe experience. No wonder not many Chinese people stay here. The hotel belongs to a local chain hotel. Although it is rated 5 stars on Ctrip, the hotel walls are covered with tripadvisor sgs and other certifications, and it is a legacy designed by Bawa, but it is really disappointing after checking in. It happened to be a small peak when checking in. Several tour groups checked in at the same time, and the front desk seemed a bit busy. Fortunately, the passports and luggage were not messed up, and the room card was safely obtained. The hotel is a bit large, and the building where the front desk is located is really 5🌟. Bawa's skills were definitely epoch-making works 50 years ago. But as soon as you leave the main building of the hotel, it's like going to another hotel, and the sense of age hits you. Especially the lawn in the middle looks like a prison yard. The lawn is undecorated and bumpy. There are a few wild dogs wandering around. After entering the room, it's just okay, but compared with the main building, it's worth 3🌟 at most. But because it is very close to the sea, the ground on the second floor will also be damp for no reason. Although the hotel was renovated in 2019, the facilities in the room are also very illogical. There is only one empty power socket in the whole room, and the rest are plugged in lamps, kettles, TVs and other equipment. The switch of the ceiling light is very interesting. The switch on the left bed controls the light on the right bed. When I checked in, I also took my child to the children's playground, which is the kind of indoor children's playground in domestic shopping malls, but the maintenance inside is really not good. The most terrible thing is that no one cares even when the cover of the electric box is opened. If it were in the United States, it would have been sued for compensation. The food is not expensive, but the taste is not online. But to be honest, the waiters here are more local and down-to-earth, probably because most of the hotel guests are locals. There are less than 10 white and Asian people in the whole hotel who stay for breakfast. It is obviously different from anatara where I stayed before. There may be more European and American customers there, and the employees are used to tiptiptiptip for everything. Bentota is more sincere

Beautiful hotel, all rooms with sea views, two swimming pools. Cons: lack of towels by the pool, we waited 20 minutes for them to be brought to us; when leaving the hotel we were presented with a bill from the bar, from which we had not ordered anything, it took about 40 minutes to sort it out, which was not very pleasant

A good hotel on the first line of the ocean, located away from the road and from the city, in the off-season there are no cafes and places to eat nearby, so you have to eat at the hotel, you can take a buffet for lunch and dinner. The beach near the hotel is the only place for swimming in the off-season, a natural breakwater protects the shore and forms a kind of ocean pool. Friendly staff, quick check-in, a large and warm pool, funny badgers/squirrels, monitor lizards dart around the territory became an additional bonus to a great time. The garden view room we booked was upgraded to pool view. This is very bad and very noisy! Did not sleep well for two days! In the morning, the crows are meeting! In the afternoon, there are all kinds of chair pulling sounds, and in the evening it is even more terrible. Crows of crows gather by the pool and take a bath in the pool! If you want to live, it is best to book a sea view room! There is also a swimming pool over there. The sea water is very good, but it is also very wavy. In the evening, go for a stroll to the beach to see the sunset is beautiful. This is a hotel that should return.

We had our wedding at Tangerine Beach Hotel Kalutara on the 1st of August, 2024, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Initial experience wasn’t great at check-in, as the staff wasn’t giving accurate information about dinner prices, and wasn’t very friendly. There were also a few issues in the room. But the front desk was able to coordinate with their internal house keeping and engineering team to solve the problems. We were happy with their services in the end.

The hotel should be opened by the Chinese, using the jetwing brand and reservation system. The front of the hotel is the sea on the back of the railway. Therefore, the room must be selected clearly. If you choose to sleep badly at night, don’t live in the sea. Half of the room is a little better, with a balcony, a lot of hotel teams, from the Chinese chef, to Colombo, sitting on the sea train, not far from the door can sit, the most essential section, do not sit from Galle!
