Hotel Dormy Inn Express Kakegawa
4.4/575 Reviews
I stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 nights during the rugby World Cup. First let me state that there is very little to do in Kakegawa apart from visiting the castle, so if you are heading here as a tourist there are probably better places to stay. Back to the hotel ! I arrived a little early (around 12) and my room was not available , so I had to leave my bags in reception and wait until around 3pm to get my key. There was no issue with the language barrier. The hotel is not far from the station with a 10 minute walk along the main road getting you there. The room itself was average size for Japan, but the outlook from the window was pretty bleak onto a back alley. However, it was clean and comfortable there were no issues with the exception of the pillows which were rock hard. All amenities were available in the room although the sink being in the bedroom rather than the shower area was a little strange. The Wi-fi was perfect, but dont look for any English language station on the TV as there was none. In terms of restaurant, there is one for breakfast with a reasonable selection of both Western and Japanese food. I never saw it open during the day or evening. However, as a bonus it does open up around 9.30 in the evening with free ramen noodles for the hungry. Coffee is always available on demand in the foyer which is another good point. On top of the hotel is a typical Japanese thermal bath...great for the aches after a busy day ! All in all a good hotel for the price.....
Tsumagoi Resort Sai No Sato

Because it is a large site, the explanation of the guide and the movement in the building at the time of arrival was chitin. It was awkward to go by shuttle bus to ”Forest Hot Spring”, but when I went there, there were various baths and I enjoyed it. Especially the tea hot water seems to be Shizuoka. There was also a sauna. However, be careful as it closes early. There were quite a few people who came by car and used it on a day trip. Stayed at South Wing. The room is a twin room and is large enough. There was a forest across the terrace, and I woke up in the morning with the cry of the cherry blossoms. This is the best experience. Supper and breakfast are buffet and the taste is normal. There were not many types of breakfast. You can enjoy various activities such as golf, tennis, pool, horse riding, and archery, and it may be good for long-term residents. It seemed that the illumination of Hikari and sound was also held.
