Hotel Dormy Inn Express Kakegawa

Kakegawa|1.84km from city centre
I stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 nights during the rugby World Cup. First let me state that there is very little to do in Kakegawa apart from visiting the castle, so if you are heading here as a tourist there are probably better places to stay. Back to the hotel ! I arrived a little early (around 12) and my room was not available , so I had to leave my bags in reception and wait until around 3pm to get my key. There was no issue with the language barrier. The hotel is not far from the station with a 10 minute walk along the main road getting you there. The room itself was average size for Japan, but the outlook from the window was pretty bleak onto a back alley. However, it was clean and comfortable there were no issues with the exception of the pillows which were rock hard. All amenities were available in the room although the sink being in the bedroom rather than the shower area was a little strange. The Wi-fi was perfect, but dont look for any English language station on the TV as there was none. In terms of restaurant, there is one for breakfast with a reasonable selection of both Western and Japanese food. I never saw it open during the day or evening. However, as a bonus it does open up around 9.30 in the evening with free ramen noodles for the hungry. Coffee is always available on demand in the foyer which is another good point. On top of the hotel is a typical Japanese thermal bath...great for the aches after a busy day ! All in all a good hotel for the price.....

Palace Hotel Kakegawa

Kakegawa|1.56km from city centre
It is a hotel on the south side of kakegawa station, and it is written as a 6 minute walk from the south exit, but it felt like it took more time. It is a hard distance when it is raining, cold, hot. It is an area where the Shinkansen and Tomei high speed are close, but it is close to Tomei high speed. I saw Tomei high speed from the hotel, and I saw the signboard of this hotel when I ran Tomei high speed, so I saw it many times. But this is the first time I stayed. Old facilities. It is an old-fashioned hotel facility. TV is also small on the screen. But there is a set of things you need. The best thing is a large bath on the top floor of the 9th floor. You can see the scenery outside through the glass. Even if it is not very beautiful, it is not very beautiful. I can't get tired of coming to business trip and taking a shower with a narrow yunto bus. It's not helpful to have such a large bath. Another. There is a corner where drinks (orange juice, tea, coffee) can be drunk. It is written as a library lounge, but this is good. I want to drink coffee, but the room is small and it is good to work when there is a place to calm down like here. Now I'm coming to the library lounge. BGM is flowing appropriately and comfortable. There is no one so calm. The hotel with such lounge is good. I wish I had such space at home. I saw the book that I had placed here. There is a photo collection, but there is a photo collection in Paris City, which is quite good. I watch this photo collection while drinking coffee. There are many books that are inspired by the catalog of the Orsay Museum of art and the photograph collection of the universe. I have coffee while eating chocolate I brought, but coffee that I put in the coffee machine is good.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Located very conveniently near the train station. Had a nice bath on the 4th floor.. Only issue was the WiFi. The receptionist gave me a series of cables that resembled something from the late 1990s, so I didn't bother. Just use your own phone data when you stay here.
Hotel Livemax Kakegawa-Ekimae

Stayed in August 2019. Business hotel located 5 minutes walk from the north exit of JR kakegawa station where the Shinkansen stops. The appearance and the room are clean and clean. Free wifi is complete and the communication speed is no problem. The toilet is complete with a washlet. There is a microwave oven and pot in the room. There is no safe. Check-in is 15:00~23:00. Check-out is 10:00. There are many restaurants around. Since the convenience store is the nearest to Lawson kakegawa station in front of kakegawa station north exit of kakegawa station, it is better to use it before going to the hotel from the station to the hotel. There is no private parking lot, so you need to use the nearby coin parking. It is very beautiful to see Kakegawa Castle, which is lit up from the front of the hotel. As a business hotel, it is a hotel without any special problems☆
Kakegawa Grand Hotel

I spent five nights in the Kakegawa Grand Hotel in September 2019. The hotel is not too expensive but very close to the downtown and the train station. I saw the hotel as we pulled into the train station and I walked to dinner each night to a different restaurant. The Kakegawa Castle was a short walk to the end of the street. The hotel was clean and the staff spoke English with varying degrees of proficiency. Breakfast was good with plenty of western foods in addition to the Japanese items. Eggs cooked to order and a pot of brewed coffee were nice features. A very pleasant stay and I hope to return someday.

〇 1 minute from the Shinkansen exit (image). Very close to the station. 〇 There was a curry and raw beer service at dinner. It was delicious. 〇 I was seriously working on the SDGs. 〇 Despite the cheap, breakfast included. 〇 comics were placed and read freely. 〇 The room is generally clean.
