Guests can also enter the Chikan Ancient Town Park for free without paying the 60 yuan entrance fee. The price/performance ratio is very good. The rooms are larger and the facilities are better. The room and room hygiene are also very good. The front desk staff is enthusiastic and explains clearly. For breakfast, you can also choose buffet breakfast or tea breakfast. I chose tea breakfast. If you want tea breakfast, you need to enter the designated dining area in the park. It takes about 15 minutes to walk. Not many styles are needed, but enough for morning tea! The Guzhen Park retains many century-old Lingnan arcade buildings. The park is open from 09:00 to 22:00, but there is basically no time limit for residents living in the park. Although most lights are turned off after 22:00, But the street lights are still on, so walking on the street feels like going back in time!

Although the hotel is a bit far from the ancient town of Chikan, it is still convenient to take a taxi. You can get to the parking lot of the scenic spot for about 8 yuan one way. It takes about 20 minutes to take a taxi from the door of the store to Kaiping South Station, and the fare for a Didi taxi is about 40 yuan (someone at the station yells that the price is 60 yuan without using the meter, so ignore it). If you are familiar with the road, it takes about half an hour to walk to the parking lot at the entrance of the ancient town. The conditions for living in this store are good, and there are many nearby restaurants with different types of meals and snacks to choose from.

We loved our stay in the heart of an old village that is just opening up to tourism. The rooms were big and comfortable with nice hot showers and the service was kind and helpful. It is easy to rent bikes and go explore the countryside as well as the UNESCO sites that are not to be missed (Li Garden and Zili Village are close by). There are a few restaurants in the village and you can even find western coffee . We will surely come again!

The public space in the hotel is large and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable and equipped with Hermès toiletries. Ms. Tang Jun in the hotel lobby was warm and considerate, caring for the elderly people traveling with her. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel has very good food. I ordered the stir-fried cabbage heart with lard dregs and the beef offal in a pot. It was very fresh and so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating it. The morning buffet is also good. There is a large square outside the hotel with a huge Christmas tree and a church. You can also feed the pigeons. The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is named Mei Tang Hotel in commemoration of Situ Mei Tang.

When you enter the room, you smell a light woody fragrance, combined with the fragrance of the rice fields outside the window, and the setting sun outside the window shining on the green rice fields, making you feel like you are in a paradise. When walking outside at night, the lights outside the B&B make it visible from a distance. And it also attracted many people to check in here to take pictures. It is also a pleasure to bring back a late-night snack and eat it in the lobby in the evening, with the air conditioner blowing and feeling the classical beauty here. The waiters are also very nice. They usually allow non-residents to check in before 9pm.

Next to several small attractions in the ancient town, it is convenient to go out at night. Environment: Quiet around, I heard that the hotel was renovated from the old building, full of retro atmosphere. I have traveled to several hotels in the ancient town, this one is one of the most distinctive in addition to Meitang. Close to the small stage, you can occasionally hear the Cantonese opera performance next door on the balcony of the room, and the sense of time and space is full. Service: One of the most impressive points in this trip, you can feel the meticulous service from the beginning of entering the park. Every hospitality staff is professional and enthusiastic, and the attitude is super nice. When we finally parted, the service housekeeper Miss Yu Shishi helped us carry our luggage to the shuttle bus all the way, and also presented small biscuits prepared by the hotel, which was very warm. The shuttle bus master also patiently guided us to other attractions how to take a ride, so that the follow-up itinerary would be more smooth. In summary, although the ancient town is still being improved, many shops have not yet settled, but the overall service is mature and the atmosphere is beautiful. The toilet seat is warm and not cold in winter, but not every room has a smart toilet. Parking spaces at the main entrance are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. There is an open space for parking behind the hotel, and there is a paid parking lot nearby. There are restaurants and cafes near the hotel, including claypot rice, rice rolls, etc… There are two destinations within a 20-minute walk, Zili Village and Liyuan.
