Art Hotel Kagoshima Reviews

We loved the view from the room, Sakura Island was just in front of us and we could actually see smoke coming out of its crater which was pretty awesome. The pools were also nice and the traditional restaurant near the lobby had some great Japanese food. The service was excellent, too. The only downside was that the bus stop is a bit far and walking to it in the middle of summer isn’t pleasant. But a taxi to the main train station costs around ¥1,800 which isn’t bad.

Overall a pleasant stay. But I would expect the room to be better as the toilet has a weird smell especially the drain. However, there is a nice view of sakurajima just outside!

Decently sized rooms with full sea-view balcony facing Sakurajima, you can enjoy both spectacular sunrise and sunset views. It would be great if the toilet bowl could be replaced together with the electric toilet seat cover! Parking at the hotel is also very convenient.

Incredible view out of our room! It was visible that the hotel is a bit old, however the room was very clean. Nonetheless, I cannot recommend going for a swim.. Close by there is a great area to go for a run. The Parking Lot was next to the hotel and costs 1000 Yen for 24 hours. Had a pleasant stay. Thanks a lot

You will have a hotel room space just enough for two people depending on the price you choose, a beautiful sea view, clean space

View is great. We got to see sakurajima from our room (although it was foggy for 2 days). The room is spacious and is big enough to open 2 huge luggage.

Location was interesting with an extraordinary view of Sakurajima; however a little out of the way with limited transport options. Interior furnishing is also a little old. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.
