Johannesburg Hotels with Swimming Pools

We had a problem with the safe and they moved us immediately. The rooms are very large and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. They recommended a tourist tour and it was very good. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. They have shuttle service and they can take you anywhere for a reasonable price as well.

The hotel environment is beautiful. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant once before, and I wanted to experience it once. The location of the restaurant is great, the view is expansive, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the meal is also very good. The room is spacious and comfortable. The room I booked has two balconies with beautiful views on both sides. The attitude of the service staff is very good, and the service is very considerate and meticulous. Very recommended to stay.

Bed is super comfortable. They provide two type of pillow - soft and firm pillow which is good so you don’t have to deal with neck pain. They have smart TV so you can watch Youtube or Netflix. Room is spacious and clean. You can see Johannesburg city from your room without any other building blocking. The mall is connected with the hotel and the area is still safe for me as solo female traveller to walk around. There is also MCD, KFC and Starbucks nearby if you didn’t want to opt for the breakfast.

The hotel has shuttle service. There is two kinds of ones. It is to go to a nearby place. It is necessary to enter the system. The system will print out a confirmation form to confirm the time and place the sign. The PPS driver is good. If you can't find it. It takes a little trouble to get to the driver by phone. 5 minutes walk from rosebank mall

Overall had a nice and pleasant stay. Was only there for one night. Check in staff was pleasant but not very warm and welcoming as i have experienced at other hotels. Rooms were well sized, bathroom was clean. Overall the shower was disappointing as it wasn't a tradional shower head, it was a handheld shower which was positioned from higher up. And no slippers were available in room.. however it was still a pleasant and good stay considering the fair price.

This is my second time returning to the hotel after my first trip. They remembered my name as I arrived which shows great attention to detail with customer care. I upgraded to the suite for this particular visit and honestly it was a great decision. Look forward to visiting them again when I go back to South Africa in a year’s time.

Booked at short notice due to no water supply in my home neighborhood. The Houghton hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping me to extend my stay when water supply issues persisted at home and hotel was near capacity. I always had a great experience when coming here with my employer for conferences and strategy sessions, and the hotel maintains its high standards. Thank you yo the staff for making me as comfortable as possible in my makeshift temporary home!

By far, the best 5 star service that you will find in Johannesburg. The staff alone are professional enough for you to be motivated for your stay. The greeting from some of the first class managers including Bella, and Dingaan was exceptional! Then, we had a birthday trip planned, the senior manager Monica had arranged some incredible welcome surprises, and that just made the trip that much more enjoyable. Next, the restaurant, was busy from day through the night, with the best food, and I can tell you they had some excellent vegetarian options. Anywhere that we wanted to go, the staff were always on hand to accommodate with excellent service. I will be making another trip before the end of the year, it was that good. My husband and I stayed here twice while travelling through Joberg. It's nestled in a fantastic location close to Rosebank Arts and Crafts Market and ”The Zone” which has many nice restaurants/bars. As an added bonus it is also directly connected to Rosebank Mall. The hotel's modern rooms provide a comfortable haven, while the staff are all very lovely and helpful.
