Radisson Red Johannesburg, Rosebank

There can be a lot improved. It wasn't all bad but many aspect require work. their customer service failed where there was no communication given that repairs will be done in my room. I returned at 16h00 to find my room looking like a construction site, only to find they were trying to replace the blinds, they could have communicated firstly, then I was subjected to having to change rooms as they had ordered the wrong part. I had plans at 16h30 and had to cancel a pre booked appointment needing to move my belongings between 2 floors, the hassle being I was already unpacked and had arranged my things properly. The 6yh floor I was moved too had a foul unbearable smell which just made one loose their appetite. The cleaning staff decided to clean at around 23h00 while we tried sleeping, which I couldn't understand, they were never around to assist and when requesting an iron, you'd wait over 30 min before it came. I won't even start on the point of them not having the option of smoking rooms for guests.
Four Seasons Hotel the Westcliff, Johannesburg

The hotel environment is beautiful. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant once before, and I wanted to experience it once. The location of the restaurant is great, the view is expansive, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the meal is also very good. The room is spacious and comfortable. The room I booked has two balconies with beautiful views on both sides. The attitude of the service staff is very good, and the service is very considerate and meticulous. Very recommended to stay.

The hotel is really lovely. It’s peaceful, calming & relaxing. It doesn’t feel like you in the city. The only downside is that I had requested for the hotel to assist in doing something special for my loved one’s birthday & I was told it’s an additional fee whereas I’ve been to many highly rated hotels before & we’ve never been asked to pay extra for these things.
Home Suite Hotels Rosebank

My partner and I spent 2 nights at Home Suite Hotels Rosebank. We had an amazing stay! The hotel is beautifully decorated and the room was clean and spacious. Our favorite part (besides Hazel, the resident dog) was the food! We arrived to the hotel in the late evening and were planning to venture out for dinner. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered dinner service in the dining area. After a long day of travelling, it was nice to be able to have a meal at ”home” instead of going out. We ordered pea/leek soup, bruschetta, fish and chips and mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious! Breakfast was more of the same! It included made to order eggs, fresh fruit, pastries and other specialty items such as french toast and eggs benedict. Being able to have a homemade breakfast onsite before a full day of sightseeing was invaluable. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we had a pleasant stay. They even prepared a to-go breakfast bag for each of us with pastries, fruit and yogurt parfait as we had a early morning flight and had to head out before breakfast service began. I would highly recommend staying at Home Suite Hotels Rosebank!

This homestay is nice and has a swimming pool. The kitchen is open plan and only has a microwave. Chinese food cannot be made. The landlord is an old couple. Quite kind. Housewives like to talk. Her husband, Gary, was an editor of a motorcycle magazine, but the magazine failed. Provide bread slices, milk, 4 kinds of fruits. Stayed two nights and was very quiet. There are no buses in South Africa and it can't be too dangerous to take them. It's not expensive to use UBER to go out. 36 rand taxi to the nearby shopping center.
