This is one of the best places we have ever stayed! The rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean, with good sized bathrooms. The courtyard is a peaceful and relaxing place. The breakfast is also filling and well prepared. The boss was the most helpful and accommodating host and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and to arrange transport for our sight seeing and onward journey. We even shared some tea in the evening, getting to know each other better. The location is also perfect, close to the centre of the magical ancient town. Myself and my partner cannot recommend this guesthouse enough! If you no visit Shaxi, you must stay here!

The location of the B&B is on the outskirts of Shaxi Ancient Town. The advantage is that the hotel has two parking lots and parking is convenient. The disadvantage is that it takes a while to get to the center of the ancient town. However, the ancient town is not big and it only takes a few minutes to get there. It is newly opened with new facilities and relatively comfortable bedding. There are public leisure areas in the courtyard on the first floor and the platform on the third floor, which is great for drinking tea and chatting. The rooftop platform is suitable for stargazing. The cloister of the B&B is very spacious and has good reviews. Last but not least, the boss will give gifts to guests who check in.

Very quiet courtyard. Convenient to travel, there is a free parking lot at the door. It takes only a few minutes to walk from the courtyard to the ancient town. The owner is very hospitable. He came out to greet us when we first arrived and helped with the luggage. The room has air conditioning and plenty of hot water. This time I booked a family suite, which has a small living room, spacious space, good hygiene, comfortable mattress, and high cost performance. I stayed for four nights and was very satisfied.

Thank you for upgrading me to a water view room for free. The front desk girl was warm and thoughtful. The room was quite large, but the table was a little small. The 1.5-meter bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The bath water was big enough, the shower room was large, and the towels were comfortable and soft. I like the tranquility and simplicity of Shaxi Ancient Town. The coffee at Youfeng Restaurant is delicious. The food at Xibao Shangfan is delicious and the environment is good!

The daily fruits, breakfast, garden afternoon tea, Jiama intangible cultural heritage experience and good night sweet soup were all very attentive, and the service was quite thoughtful. Location: You can directly arrive at the door according to the location after check-in. It is less than 10 minutes walk from Yujin Bridge where you can take pictures of the morning fog, which is very convenient. The overall quietness is in the midst of noise. In Shaxi, where the temperature difference between day and night is very large, it feels as warm as home when you check in; the hardware and soft furnishings are very exquisite and tasteful, but not losing temperature. Hygiene: Very, very clean. It is a blessing for people with mysophobia. The quilt is also super warm, and the bed is very soft and comfortable~ Design: From a certain perspective, I think the tone of Banxi Mingyue is very consistent with the temperament of Shaxi Ancient Town. The rustic decoration style is simple but not simple, with a low-key luxury texture. While incorporating modern design, some beams or pillars of the previous house can be retained, making the design not cold but rather precipitated. The overall space also makes the best use of light, which is very detailed. Environment: The lobby has both reception functions and kitchen and dining functions. With tasteful BGM and some fresh flowers, it is very comfortable. Passing through the lobby is the accommodation part. The overall concept is a bit like a quadrangle. It is surrounded by four sides and has more than a dozen rooms on the upper and lower floors. The lighting is great, and the styles are different. Shaxi old town itself is a true gem on its own, and this place is a gem in a gem. Hidden just outside of the Shaxi old town, it's proximity to the town square （寺登街）is a big plus. The landscape is super cozy, highly suitable for those who want to really have a good break from the hustle and bustle of city life, resting ones mind in an uninterrupted environment. Let's not forget the lady owner taking care of the place, who is so accommodating and helpful. And let's not forget the hot fresh milk provided every evening, which gives another level of warmness to the stay. Notes: if you are here on a Friday, you are of luck. The farmers market held weekly on Friday is just a few minutes walk away from this guesthouse too!

The B&B can park, there is an internal parking lot, to ensure the safety of parking spaces and vehicles. The courtyard is quiet and elegant, you can sit in front of the house on the first floor to drink tea and chat. The second floor has a good view. The room I stayed in is very large, with dry and wet separation, and toiletries are available. The most interesting thing is the intelligent management. You can control the lights and play music by voice. In short, it is a place to add a good mood to the trip.

I loved that my driver could drive right up to the hotel as I really did not want to transport my things across the cobblestone of Old Town. The location was the hotel is great as you are only a couple minutes from many restaurants, shops, and sights. The grounds are beautiful with so many flowers. The front desk was helpful in suggestions and recommending activities. Having them on wechat was helpful. The breakfast is simple, but alright.

I had a fantastic stay at Yingju Inn. The hotel is located in the most central place of Shaxi village. But more importantly, the manager was very helpful and professional. She speaks perfectly English and was able to help me for many things. She indicated me all the sights to visit in the area, and she booked my bus for me. It worth to be noticed, because after almost one month in China, it was the first time that I had a hotel with an English-speaking staff.
