Daedong Hotel was a decent choice for a short stay in Jeju. While nothing exceptional, it offered a satisfactory experience with basic amenities. Conveniently located, it served as a comfortable base to explore the island.

Hotel is old and not at all renovated. I requested early check in one day in advance and did not even get an answer. When I requested it at the hotel desk I was not even granted it 30 minutes in advance. AC is old and noisy while the curtains let lots of light in.
Would not go there again.

We went back to the hotel for the last leg of the trip. We arrived at the hotel near check-in time this time, so there was no hassle. However, there was no make-up room service for the 2 nights that we stayed which was ok for us.

Overall the place was good and check in was easy. The person who checked me in spoke English and the only problem was there was no toothbrush or toothpaste, but otherwise it was good for a sleep.

The staff were very friendly, greeting us every time we enter the hotel. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to the black pork street and the surprisingly, a bathtub was in the room.
