Occidental Jandía Royal Level - Adults Only

This hotel.needs a complete refurbishment and is no more than 3 star. Some of the facilities are not open or do not exist and the condition of the terracing and restaurant decking us dangerous at best. The buffet food is always cold ,but the staff who are excellent do their best. Getting into the pool is a nightmare with wobbly steps and broken decking. We complained to the jet2 rep and hotel.management but quite honestly do not spend a lot of money on a poor tired establishment. Many reviews are good but cannot understand why . The photos inches brochure do not represent the hotel of today as I am sure some years ago it was good. The best part was the Green bar which was great. Avoid if you want quality and comfort

Just home from a weeks holiday. On arrival we were disappointed with the view from our room, we addressed this and it was very quickly rectified to a room with view we had paid for. Hotel as a whole is absolutely massive, Royal Level is a separate pool with bar and restaurant although you can use all the hotels facilities. Go a wander, we found another bar/terrace on our last day. We hired a car and explored for two days, definitely worth it. Would return.

We have just returned home after a great 7 night stay. We booked directly with the hotel and it was our 8th visit. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly face of Marianna who remembered us from previous visits, and she had been able to allocate us a room with a great view and quiet area. Since our last visit the rooms have been given a refresh with lighter furniture and window dressing, this gives it a brighter feel. The adults only restaurant has also been extended and that makes it a more pleasing environment, we ate there for all our meals, and the food has definitely improved since previous trips. The feedback I would give in that area is that sometimes you are sat waiting a while before drinks order taken, it would be good to be seated by a member of staff and drinks order taken on arrival, also when experienced staff were on who we have met before they were so organised and you definitely got your order taken immediately, so maybe it's a training area for new staff. On asking if there was a gluten free bread option it was lovely to be presented with warm gluten free rolls, specially baked, so Thankyou for that. Wine was excellent as before, and there food choice was good, we are non fish eaters, but found enough choice each meal. One area spotted was cross contamination on grill in the morning, having specific allergies this is something that just needs a little bit of care. The green bar again was good, this area has been extended and the live music/singer added a bit of a change. The only negative is that the WiFi signal is non existent, which is not something you expect for such a large hotel, it didn’t affect us as we used data, but it’s something that needs sorting. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and hope to return soon.

Wow!!! We had the most amazing relaxed 6 nights here in may! The rooms are spacious the beds are massive and comfy! We were greeted on the first night as we got there late to a bottle of bubbly, a plate of fruit and some food plated up for us, chocolates left on the bed! It was dark when we arrived but could see we were over the pool areas. We woke up and again wow!!!!! Sea view was amazing!! We had meals in the Adults only part and in the main buffet in the hotel. We liked the restaurant in the royal level but felt the main buffet had more choice for us. As royal level guests we were waited on hand and foot! Every time you went to a bar or restaurant drinks were brought to you. The fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast was amazing!!! The cleaners came in every morning and every evening with fresh towels and water and again on the night left chocolates on the pillow. The views to the sea from this hotel are outstanding! Cocktails made at the bar by the pool were fantastic! Try the pina colada!!! The staff around the whole complex were so friendly and approachable. So sad to have left our time away here but it won’t be the last!!!

Not a good overall experience except food and beverage staff. A series of issues which could have been avoided by attention to detail and customer service

Just got back from 5 night and would highly recommend this resort. Royal level really did feel like a great upgrade and made you feel special. The drinks were outstanding, all premium drinks and no expense spared. Cocktail menu was good. Staff were all super helpful and very friendly. Everyone put in loads of effort to make you feel welcome and we didn’t encounter one person who didn’t seem really happy to be working there. The food was only thing I feel could have been improved slightly as the royal level buffet was a bit mix match and hot plates didn’t really seem to keep food very hot. But we did find something nice each mealtime. We didn’t manage to try the a la carte but could have booked if we wanted. Royal level pool was freezing but the smaller jacuzzi pool was great temperature. We did wander around the rest of the resort but stayed to the royal level areas mainly as they were really peaceful and quiet. Loads of sunbeds available all day and even used cabanas some days. Never a fight for a bed and did feel exclusive and not overcrowded. Beach lovely and great little town walking distance with good selection of shops. Our room Had fantastic pool and sea view and bed was really big and comfortable. Every where felt clean and tidy, All in all a great resort and would highly recommend.
