3-Star Hotels in Jacksonville

I work in customer service. This is the #1 product we talk about with our clients, I cannot remember the last time I received this level of service, from check in, to helping us with our luggage, to the server bringing us refreshments, to the general manager coming out to meet our dogs. Darius was our valet who helped me get all of the stuff off the top of my car. Zachary, Keymoe and Euryo were amazing as well (please let me know if I spelled your names wrong). We have already booked our next stay.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel will continue to stop here, it's near hwy and food, see family's enjoying the pool, there are people stay for conferences, feel it's a safe place to stay. The staff is available at the desk and there are many cleaning staff.

We just checked in with Susan. She was such a pleasure to meet. She was very helpful and informative during check in and answered all questions we had. She made sure to tell us all about the complimentary breakfast and raved about how good it is. I look forward to trying it out first thing in the morning.

Carolyn and the whole staff are kick @$$!!! My stay has been over 3 months and the customer service and staff had been top shelf! If you want to feel like royalty this hotel is an absolute must. The staff makes you feel like a permanent residen.

First, I do not understand how the rating for this property is good on TA. TA reviews are fairly honest; which is why so many travelers depend on these reviews for their travel needs. However, a takeaway lesson here is do not go by TA reviews alone anymore. We looked at various properties, and selected this for the excellent rating as well as for it's proximity to our meeting venue. Besides being a terribly wrong decision, it was a huge health risk. As we entered the elevator, we smelt a moldy smell. Thinking it must be because the elevator was old (creaky, frayed) we went on to our room. However, the damp smell was replaced by an unpleasant smell of cheap air freshner in the corridor, that only got over-poweringly stronger in the room. But it was very late, we were extremely tired after a full day of driving, so we decided to just deal with it in the morning. During what was left of the night, we had trouble sleeping and attributed it to the loud noise the air-conditioner made. But upon waking, we had stuffy noses, a headache and feeling of heaviness and had trouble breathing. We soon found out why - the carpet was sticky wet and the damp stench in the room had only worsened. Besides this horrifying discovery, we also saw in the daylight what the very dim lighting in the room masked - how worn out the room was. Not only the furniture was dated and worn out, but the basin water pooled, bathroom shower doors were unclean, etc . and the room had an overall feel a cheap sleazy motel. The manager was herself attending the front desk when we went down to ask for a different room. She was surprised we had been put in that particular room – apparently, it was a past problem the room had. The manager told us she would move us, give a $50 credit and take breakfast off (which didn’t matter since when we checked in, we were told the room rate included breakfast) . We did not expect nor want any freebies, so we simply thanked and went on to our new room. As we processed the exchange with the manager and the fact that the employees were aware of the problem with the room , we were disturbed and horrified that a hotel employee would knowingly risk a hotel guest’s health by rooming them in a room with a moldy stench and a sticky wet carpet! The new room too had the same musty smell, although much fainter. We debated for a few minutes whether to brave out another night but decided against it and checked out without using the new room. This hotel is definitely not Marriott standard - it is really really run down and almost like a cheap motel.

Horrible ! Negative stars need to be an option. I booked through hotel.com and after driving 6 hours to get there the hotel had no front desk attendant and was closed.(To my surprise because I’ve never seen a hotel close much less not have someone in the front desk) All that was left there was an emergency contact number. Which was called, and when the night manager was contacted he instantly told me I had no reservation. Then as I told him I have all the Confirmation emails he shows up on the property to tell me there nothing he can do and that he did not know how to use the system. Then the next morning after having to sleep in the car. The hotel opens past its opening time with a line at the door waiting for assistance. When they finally opened, The front desk attendant very rudely said that the reservation was canceled. When I don’t know how because no one was there to even cancel it. While waiting the other guest were telling me how they had roaches in the sheets. And another gentlemen had no sheets at all and when he asked for them they were told they would be brought. Later to find out they were never bringing them and they closed the front. The hotel And hotel.com and do not want to issue a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND HOTEL.COM. SCAMMERS THAT HAVE NO ISSUE TAKING YOUR MONEY BUT HABE ISSUES RETURNING IT. THEY BOTH NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

This place is amazing for a few reasons: 1) location is spectacular with several restaurants within walking distance; 2) rooms are comfortable and immaculate; but most of all, the hotel personnel are incredible. We walked in exhausted from driving 20hrs and Andy Preslar said ”I'll take care of you” and he did including getting us settled in record time and enlisting Steffan to help us park our U-Haul trailer and our truck in a great spot. Then the next morning, someone had taken the hairdryer out of our room and at 4:30AM, Beverly knocked on our door with a hairdryer in hand and a beautiful smile on her face! Kudos to upper management for recognizing the value of great employees and taking the time to hire the best!

The environment is very good, the surrounding business is convenient, and it is very convenient to eat and shop.
