I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Izu, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The hotel itself is equally impressive. It is well-designed and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff at Izu Marriott. They were incredibly polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local attractions or assistance with my room, the staff was always available and eager to help. Especially thank Roshan and the front desk team, who provide exceptional service to us.

This is a Ryokan which has a very good reputation. For me, the stay is perfect and I will recommend this Ryokan. Even though you cannot value the location of the Ryokan, as Shuzenji is a very small place. The Rokan is right opposite to the bamboo forest, which is suitable for my personal view. However, you need to notice as it is close to the bamboo forest and near to the river, you will find many bugs here, especially at night. Don't forget to close the windows and doors. When you first arrive at the Ryokan, don't forget to take a photo of the board at the door as you can find your name on it. If you have a name that can be written in Kanji, you can even email them to let them write in Kanji. The Ryokan itself is large but the staff are very nice and friendly. They will introduce the whole Ryokan to you when you arrive and lead you to the most places so that you can find out the several Onsens and amenities' locations. I will recommend you to discover the Ryokan when you are free. The Ryokan even provides guided tours as most of the buildings here are cultural heritage. Moreover, the Ryokan will even provide umbrellas, so no worries when it rains. The English of Ryokan staff is not ideal, as you might be able to guess. If you can speak Japanese, I will recommend you to use Japanese. The food quality is very good and they will sometimes provide some very interesting dishes. For example, the lobster shell tempura, which shocked me at first but tasted not bad. I have mentioned Onsen before but there are a few more you might need to know. Since the hotel has a long history, you might need to take a shower in your room first then go to the Onsen in different places as there are no shower places in Onsen like other Ryokan. However, the onsen is very good so I will recommend you try as many as you can. Overall, the Rokan is expensive but absolutely worthy. I will recommend you to try it when you are free.

■ Location 　Take a bus (220 yen cash only) from Shuzenji Station and get off at Miyukibashi, 2-3 minutes. The other side across the new bridge along the Katsura River. About 7 minutes on foot from Shuzenji Onsen Station on the route bus. Large high-rise inn. The scenery might be beautiful during autumn leaves. ■Nearby Attractions We recommend going to Niji no Sato on a free electric bicycle. The bicycle was also made by Panasonic and was new, and it was powerful even on the slopes. You can get there in about 20 minutes. At Niji no Sato, you can enjoy steam locomotives and views of Mt. Fuji. Also, if you have a receipt for staying at Shuzenji Onsen, Niji no Sato will give you a 30% discount. ■ Room 　The room was spacious and the bed was set on tatami mats, so it was comfortable to sleep. It was nice to have a humidifier. ■ Meals Buffet style with a competitive number of items. If you are with children, you can enjoy it in an entertainment mood. It might be more fun if you make it a fair specification such as cotton candy. On the contrary, it is a mess, so it is not recommended for those who want to enjoy it slowly or emphasize the atmosphere. ■ Amenities 　In front of the Daily Yamazaki convenience store in the ryokan, you can take whatever you want as much as you like. I think that management efforts to reduce personnel and maintenance costs are rational, only for Obako Hotel. I think the service of choosing a yukata is very good. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special yukata for a fee? If there is a design that looks good on Instagram. ■ Hospitality 　The check-in time was around 17:00, so I contacted them in advance. At that time, there are only two dinners at 18:00 and 18:30, and the 19:45 two-part system is not being done at this time, so I hurried to the hotel without eating lunch. At the front desk of the inn, it was said that after 18:00, there would be a two-part system at 19:30, and there was a discrepancy between the phone and time. Although I complained about it, the woman at the reception was indifferent, with no apology or confirmation, whether the complaint was a daily occurrence. Perhaps the person on the phone misunderstood and told the time, but I asked if there was 19:45, and although I insisted that it was not, I regret that I told the wrong time. . I can't help but make a mistake, but I was disappointed because there was no follow-up at the reception.

7 minutes from the south exit of Mishima Station. There is a 7-Eleven nearby. This hotel is cheap and beautiful. Free breakfast. Instead, the room has two shared showers on the floor without a bath. No TV, no drinks such as coffee, and cleaning is only on Mondays for consecutive nights. The towels and amenities in the room are thoroughly cost-cut when they are in front of the elevator. Ideal for people who only sleep at work. Breakfast changes daily with bread, but it may be difficult to stay consecutive nights because it doesn't change almost. The cooler is independent for each room, so you can make it your favorite temperature, there are outlets on the bedside and USB Type-A outlets. The front desk is small, so check-in and out seem to be crowded. The best response is to have time.

This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. There are interesting and beautiful beach views in East Izumba where you can swim, soak in hot springs and enjoy a gourmet meal. My kids love the beach very much, I love the hotel, the waiters, especially Mr. Inari, who speaks very fluent English and is very helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the train station, which is very useful for guests with luggage considering the hilly terrain of the small town, and the hotel also offers enough bath towels, parasols and beach chairs to take to the beach across the street all day. There is also an outdoor small shower before returning to the hotel lobby, where you can wash the sand off your body first. The hotel lobby also provides sandals that can be taken to the beach. Although the sand on the beach is soft, it is very hot after the sun is shining, and slippers are very necessary. Each room has a stunning sea view, and there are plenty of food in the fridge, including bottled water and Asahi beer. Our meals are private dining, friendly, lovely waitress who can meet all our needs, serve us very professionally, and introduce us to Japanese dining etiquette. After we go to breakfast, the hotel attendants will come to our room, take the Japanese mattress away, and then set up the living area, and when we go to dinner, they will come and put the mattress for us. Every afternoon, we will prepare ice water and snacks. They don't mind us bringing sand back from the beach, but they will help us clean it up quickly. The hot springs are very beautiful, indoor and outdoor, both male and female, and you can see the seaside scenery. There is a convenience store next to the hotel where you can buy coffee, snacks and lunch. In the evening, you can set off fireworks by the sea and children can play video games. The whole community is very safe and is a local resident. It would be better if there was no online network in the room, but, in short, we could focus more on playing and resting without the network.

The person in charge of the trip was very kind and I have fond memories of my trip. It was a birthday celebration, and I was very happy to see how they livened up the occasion and showed their careful attention. Both dinner and breakfast were very voluminous and I was satisfied with both the presentation and the taste, although I think it varies depending on the plan. As for the hot springs, I thought that everyone from children to adults could take a dip in them with peace of mind because the temperature was right and the skin was in good condition after the bath. I was intruded by the car for two days a night. The cleaning was polite, but I thought the living room desk was broken by the ceiling and broke for a moment .... The bedding was comfortable with thick eye mat and feather futon, but personally the pillow was low and it was hard to sleep. The work clothes of the room clothes were a little thick and thin despite the summer. The public bath has two large bathtubs, the open-air bath is a large rock bath and a wooden bath, and the pottery bath is very substantial with two hot water and sauna. There was a note that the floor was slippery due to the influence of the water quality, but I think it would be better to have a stop slip, including the stone stairs outside. The free service of hot water, Yakult, coffee milk and milk is heart-hating. The dishes are two choices of meat pottery and seafood shabu shabu, and you will choose at check-in. I thought I would choose meat and fish with my husband and wife, but I chose the seafood shabu shabu because I could only choose the same thing for two people. It was a 60 year old couple, but I was able to enjoy the amount, seasoning, and variety with my eyes. Dinner and breakfast were very satisfying in all, including the staff's response. However, the check-in was 16 o'clock, and the 19:45 assigned to the first order dinner was a bit slow. I didn't use it, but there was a service of soup powder to fill the belly until late dinner and a service of night ringing ramen. Check out was smooth without waiting because it was possible to finish after breakfast. The room was very satisfied with the dishes and the public bath while expecting improvement with a severe evaluation.

I used it to dive with three companions. The inner bath was written as being chlorine disinfected by circulation, but the smell of hot water is not known. There were sauna and water baths, and it was quite slow. The original is like a resort condominium, and the passage faces outdoors, but unless it is rained in the rain of the side hit, it is positive only for the noise like the corridor I felt it. I didn't have a meal, so I can't evaluate it there, but I think it is quite convenient to use it in a group of multiple people because there is a set of cooking equipment and a large refrigerator in the room. It is a big facility, but all the spaces are well air-conditioned and no negative points were found.

The whole accommodation experience is very good, the environment is really beautiful, the BBQ and campfire at night are very relaxing, family and friends are very satisfied, and it is very close to the Shiguoyu Observatory, and there is a different scenery in a few minutes. The berth is wide and friendly to self-driving travelers, but the entrance is slightly narrow, driving a vehicle the size of Alphard may be a bit difficult, but it should be enough.
