Review of Wanda Vista Hotel. My stay at the Wanda Vista Hotel had its positives, but also quite a few frustrating issues. The hotel itself was nice, and the room was comfortable, but the location wasn’t ideal since it’s right on a highway, making it less convenient for exploring the area. Aside from that, it was okay, but there were several maintenance problems that definitely affected my experience.The biggest issue was that the room had several things broken, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, nothing was really fixed except for the door. The shower leaked all over the floor by the sink, which was both annoying and a safety hazard, but no one bothered to fix it. The skirting board was also broken, adding to the feeling that the room wasn’t being properly maintained. On top of that, we had an apartment with a kitchen, but the hotel refused to provide any kitchen accessories unless we were staying for more than 10 days, which seemed like a ridiculous rule. It didn’t make sense to have a kitchen that we couldn’t actually use. After complaining, I eventually got the accessories, but it was frustrating that I even had to go through that process in the first place.Overall, while the hotel had potential, the lack of proper maintenance and the odd policies made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. If they paid more attention to fixing issues and improving customer service, it could be a much better experience.

The hotel is strategically located in the old town of Istanbul. The rooms and toilets were clean and comfortable. Breakfast spread was good but the only downside is the soundproofing of the hotel as you can get awakened by noises from the shops opening up in the morning. Lucky for us is that we were early risers so it didn't bother us that much.

I was very excited for our stay here hwiwber we had a disappointing experience with poor communication and no accountability I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but our experience really fell short of expectations and needs to be shared. We arrived at the hotel late at night after a long journey, only to be told there was no booking under our name. This was despite having a confirmed reservation through Trip.com with updated arrival dates. I showed the staff member multiple confirmation emails, and I even translated one into Turkish to help, but we were repeatedly told there was no booking, with no real attempt to help or investigate further. There was a clear language barrier, but the issue wasn’t just communication. It was the lack of care or basic hospitality. We were eventually given a room that wasn’t what we booked, with a vague promise to fix it the next day. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the stress this caused. The following day, we were moved again, but the new room still lacked a key feature that I made sure it had, and we specifically needed (a microwave). I asked for some form of compensation or goodwill gesture via trip.com for the inconvenience, but the hotel has refused. To be fair, the same staff member helped us carry our luggage to the taxi on our final day, which we appreciated. But that small act doesn’t undo the initial treatment. Even a simple apology would have gone a long way. Trip.com were brilliant, and they did their best to advocate on our behalf. Unfortunately, the hotel took no responsibility and showed no interest in making things right. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. But how you treat your guests in difficult moments speaks volumes. Sadly, we wouldn’t stay here again.

My stay at The Divan Istanbul left me with mixed feelings. While the hotel markets itself as a five-star establishment, my experience suggested it might be better aligned with four-star standards. The service, which is a critical aspect of any top-tier hotel experience, unfortunately fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, I encountered a passive-aggressive attitude from the reception staff that was off-putting. Instead of the warm welcome one would expect, the receptionists seemed more interested in talking over guests than engaging with them. This tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere that lingered throughout my stay. Additionally, the staff's grasp of English varied significantly, leading to frequent misunderstandings when addressing simple requests. This lack of clear communication is not what one hopes for at a hotel that purports to offer five-star service. These service issues overshadowed any of the hotel’s potential strengths. A true five-star experience is defined by top-notch service that complements the hotel's physical attributes, and in this case, it was lacking. While the hotel may offer nice amenities and a polished appearance, without exceptional service to match, it cannot truly claim to be a five-star venue. In conclusion, while The Divan Istanbul has the framework of a high-end hotel, its service shortcomings prevent it from fully realizing that potential. For those looking for a reliable four-star experience in Istanbul, it may fit the bill, but if exemplary service is a priority for your stay, it may be wise to consider other options.

While the hotel offered a large room and helpful staff for our final night in Istanbul, the lack of soundproofing was a significant issue. We were unfortunately woken up by conversations from the reception area in the middle of the night, and even slight noises from outside were audible. Furthermore, a persistent dripping sound from a pipe and the distinct smell of cigarette smoke in our room detracted from our stay. Although we didn't report these concerns given our brief visit and early flight, they impacted our overnight experience.

Homelike Hotel – A Cozy Gem in Istanbul I had a great stay at Homelike Hotel in Istanbul. The location was perfect—just a 5-minute walk to metro and bus stops, and only 20 minutes on foot from Taksim Square. The area is full of cozy Turkish cafés, giving it a lovely local vibe. My room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and modern. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. While there were a few minor issues at first, everything was quickly sorted out thanks to their excellent service. A special thanks to Adam, who kindly helped me print some important travel documents. Breakfast was decent, with some variation each day to keep things interesting. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended if you're looking for a cozy, budget-friendly stay with great access to the city. A truly nice hotel that gives you great value for money. You truly get the bang for your buck!

We used this place as a stopover in between two Istanbul airports. The location is super convenient, near the metro and boats. Room was qute spacious and warm. There was a kettle and water. Two minor things: the electric cord of the hairdrier looked very unsafe. I was afraid to get an electric shock. And in the evening there was a strong food smell from the outside - kitchen probably. But otherwise, a nice hotel, we will be back.

La Gertha Hotel located in Taksim provides very good service, clean and comfortable, comfort is very good, I definitely recommend it, thank you for your service.

This is my third time staying at DNZ Istanbul, and as always everything was perfect. The location is amazing, just a short walk from Taksim Square and very close to public transportation, which makes exploring the city super easy. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about their guests. From check-in to check-out, the hospitality is always top-notch. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Istanbul and want a peaceful stay near the heart of the city. I’ll definitely be coming back again
