Bad smell in the room. Aircon terribly bad, water dripping, not cold. Room 210 must nit stay. I used to always stay at merton if i come to ipoh, now after this bad experience, will not stay here again.

I would personally say that the service this time was good though at first when we got there we had to wait as there were people ahead of us at the check in. First and foremost, the room was good as it had a good view. Besides that, the room provided a good entertaimet tool being the televison and television channel, netflix and youtube. Other than that, the hospitality from the bellboy was also exellent with their good service.

(CNY stay with my 7mo baby)
I'm sorry, but I originally intended to complain about the long queue for breakfast. However, I changed my mind after observing how friendly the waitresses were, even though they were very busy. Unfortunately, one disappointing encounter with the room service staff made me leave a negative review.
When I called the room service and asked for help in freezing my ice pack so that I could store my breastmilk in the car when I travel back home, the staff member told me that there was a chiller in the room. I explained that the chiller couldn't freeze the ice pack, so I needed the hotel's assistance.
To my surprise, the staff member asked me to pack the ice pack nicely and bring it down to reception. It was already 10:30 pm, and I was in my pajamas with my 7-month-old baby. I had to wake her up and carry the ice pack all the way down to reception.
In addition to this negative experience, I also had to queue for breakfast with my baby on both days. I thought that they should open a hall if there weren't enough tables for the guests, but the waitresses were still friendly and welcoming, even though they didn't have a baby chair for the first 10 minutes. Despite this, I never thought of leaving a bad review.
I was disappointed and saddened when I had to walk all the way down to reception at night with a baby, and I don't think that guests should have to do that.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Customer service was fantastic and the staffs were very attentive. Location was great and walking distance to many attractions such as concubine lane, Kong Heng square and eateries. Parking was a little bit of hassle due to limited space but we managed.

My first trip to Ipoh.Took airasia to Ipoh.I stayed in excelisor hotel.The hotel is situated at goid location.Many food variety to choose from.Moving from here was ease.The hotel was clean and neat.The staff was wonderful.Had nice breakfast at the hotel.

I didn’t actually stay here but booked a single room for my friend who came to visit. It was indeed a fuss-free but terrific room. Amenities like hairdryer, shower gel, water jug, mug and coffee were provided. Extras like hot and cold water, iron, fridge were all available near the reception. My friend reported that water pressure was excellent and the wifi was strong too. Most importantly, it was super clean. There’s ample parking provided and the hotel security was good too. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. My friend says she will not hesitate to stay here again!

the toilet a bit dirty got black mold...
so far for me it really worth it cz of the room was big enough n the hotel area also clean..the walkaway soo clean..n room was clean too..
dont worry about food cz got kfc n mamak also..then got laundry..got speedmart..one line with the hotel..got a lot of parking area...

The hotel is nice and clean, the service is good and taking care of customer when crossing the road to the theme park. The only thing to comment is their buffet breakfast choices is lesser compare to our visit in last year.

Stayed for 4D3N. Peaceful and quiet location, a good place to rest for the body and mind. Each villa has its own hotspring tub, enjoyable. Food quality at the restaurant was good though abit expensive. Only gave 4* for the service because on the last night there, I requested for a bucket of ice......it took 3 phone calls and a wait of about 1hour and 15mins for it to arrive at my villa, disappointed.

CCh_CHBooked here for quick stop after our Penang trip. There was a convention going on so lots of people and cars when we drove in. The indoor car park was very tight and limited to one floor only. Even the outdoor parking was full, so we had to settle for roadside parking temporarily. Check-in was efficient. While the hotel room was already paid via Trip.com, the reception took a RM50 refundable deposit for incidentals – the other hotels that we booked for this trip did not hold any deposit.
The room was large, lighting well placed, and AC was strong, but both beds had a horrible smell. Had to call reception to change all the sheets, which was done relatively fast.
Not much to eat around there, so we drove out for dinner and came back to less congested parking. The security guard was helpful to get us a parking bay outdoors because our large vehicle was challenged with the tight basement parking.
Breakfast option was actually a good spread. But disappointingly the food and coffee were not kept hot; at best lukewarm. Even the soft-boiled eggs were not done properly.
Overall, a nice hotel with good service staff, marred by bad smelling sheets, limited parking and cold food/coffee.

KKinnie Konga great stay at Meru suites. huge rooms, friendly staff that will go the extra mile for a service for customers. great team, clean rooms as well. Quiet at night making it a wonderful stay.
Only downside is the location as it is situated a 15mins drive away from town, but for such a wonderful stay I would not mind to come back here again.

When we checked in, we were also provided with a ticket to redeem tea during 4pm-6pm, the selection was just sandwiches and corn Kueh. The hotel also provided a RM10 discount voucher to use on their in-house cafe. Breakfast boasts a good variety of foods.

JJ VeritasThe room is spacious n nice. The lobby is smelly, I guess partly because of the kitchen and bathroom (super smelly) nearby. There’s a strong odour the moment you enter into the lobby. I hope there will be more regular cleaning n perhaps putting some freshener might help. The staff are not friendly at all, you can enter and go out of the hotel without anybody noticing. Perhaps staff can be trained to smile more n acknowledge the guests.

NNoorShort staycation to celebrate our 12th anniversary with the kids, we booked executive suites, located at high rise 18th floor. over all it was a perfect stay, near to ipoh town , the kinta river walk just walking distance from the hotel, the best part for this hotel is the breakfast buffet, it was awesome ! We really enjoyed the food. I would recommend this hotel and will come back again .

立立川愣头青The hotel environment is very pleasant and spacious, offering good views. It's also conveniently located for reaching other places. The availability of amenities like a washing machine and dryer made it easy for us to keep clean during our trip. The Dyson hairdryer was excellent. It would have been even better if there were USB or Type-C chargers available. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Thank you!

AAnn TThe standard double room we had was very small with barely enough space on the floor for our bags. No wardrobe, just 3 hangers hanging over a counter. No drawers, just 2 side tables. No fridge but there was a safe. No coffee-making facilities but we were provided with 2 bottles of drinking water every day and there was a water dispenser near the lift for us to refill our bottles which was very appreciated. The room was clean and looked quite new. Comfortable bed. We like it that private parking is always available in the basement with a security guard (though he was absent from his post most of the time!) A lift is available in the basement to access the lobby and higher floors - we could only access our floor using our room access card - good security. A few restaurants and eateries nearby. Good for a short stay.

犬犬神様The hotel only has stair access, a bit inconvenient for those with heavy luggage. The hotel is conveniently located, within a 30 minute drive to various attractions in Ipoh, and close to Chang Jiang White Coffee, ideal for breakfast.
The room was spacious, though cleanliness could be improved as my black backpack got covered in white dust after being placed on the floor. Amenities like towels and shower gel were provided, but no toothbrush, toothpaste, hairdryer, and mini-fridge... A shared iron available outside the room.
I purposely chose a room with a window, expecting a pleasant view for the additional cost. However, all I saw was a construction site, which was quite disappointing and not worth the extra cost.
Additionally, the hotel's water heating system is solar-powered and need some time to adjust, and I thought the hotel didn't have a water heater since the markings for hot and cold water were faded. The front desk staff was friendly and willing to help when I had problems with the water heater.
Overall, considering the price, the stay were comfortable and suited for budget travelers.

NNurasyikin ZI stayed at the Premier room (2 King beds). Everything looked okay at first, cleaned and spacious. Room was enough to fit 4 adults and 2 small kids at one time. But when i tried to use the tap and shower in the toilet, looks like the heater was not functioned. When i tried to use the standing shower, it got burst immediately and the tube spout connecting to the tap fell off. I had to use the shower near the bathtub instead. Then when my husband tried to use the electric kettle, boom, all power off due to power trip. We called up the reception and they sent a technician immediately, he was surprised to know that the wiring was not done correctly, and was not safe at all. Knowing that the wiring and shower work will take some time, and we couldn't be moved to another room due to unavailability. We had no choice but to leave the room because 1. my baby needs hot water for his milk, 2. we havent had dinner. We headed back to hotel right after dinner, and thank god they managed to complete all the work. Shower and wiring were fixed accordingly and the heater finally worked. Breakfast? The Chinese fried rice was very plain in taste. Even my 2 year old baby refused to eat it. Same goes to the rice porridge- tasteless. Fried meehoon was okay. I'd rather have a simple selection of tasty breakfast, rather than having a variety of food but tasteless. The only credits i would vie was to the front desk officer and technician. butI'm not recommending this hotel, avoid if you may.

GGuest UserWhy glorify these dark alleys which look like the neighborhood where Jack the Ripper lurk for his next victim? The ”hotel” is supposed to be ”designer hotel”. It's a prison. Period. Full of hazardous corners and dangerous pits. Pool was so heavily chlorinated that the water stung. Door handle came off, stupid latch on the outside of the room, multiple key card systems that could potentially kill if a fire breaks. I almost got stuck in the common bathroom because the latch refused to budge when I wanted to get out. Sink at the common area was greasy. The reception was almost impossible to find. Do not take your elderly family members or small children to this hotel. I booked it coz I had no choice at such a short notice. Not worth the money either. Seriously, MPI should re-inspect that place and take back the accommodation license. Look at the ”barrier” from the rooftop pool to the ground below. No banister. It's lower than my knee if I stand next to it. One wrong move, you'd plummet down. Steps made out of metal grating. No safety yellow stickers to differentiate the levels. Totally NOT safe! Never again!
