Liostasi

I was visiting the island of Ios, located in Cyclades, for a wedding, so i decided to book a nice hotel near the wedding venue and Chora, (the center of the island) The concierge pre arrival was very helpful and since the island has no airport, i arrived via ferry, where the hotel has a shuttle which takes you straight to the hotel from the port. Upon arriving i was greeted with a welcome drink, but waited around an hour or so until i was given my room. I had booked the room with the hotel tub, the deluxe suite with sharing pool and hot tub more specifically. The hotel itself is a small yet very modern and nice hotel, with small sections soread around the premises consisting of blocks of suites each. Two pools, one private between limited rooms and the other communal The room was really nice, maisonette alike with the bathroom open in the room upstairs, living room And shower downstairs The staff were extremely helpful, very polite and the views were amazing On the downside now, I found a spired in the bathtub and three cockroaches in the room. And the second thing, was that 4 months in advance, i had booked the hotel at 645euros per night for three nights and when i tried to order room service the first night i chose the exact same dates, and the price was 375 per night. With a policy of 60 days payment prior to arrival i had literally no time to amend booking or check for lower prices While i understand the whole island and hotel as i was told by locals was underbooked, i would have appreciated a gesture of lowering the price for the 2nd and 3rd night as i over paid 270euros difference per night leaving me a bitter taste And definitely with such policies i would advice to check in more details before booking as it feels being “cheated”

We absolutely loved staying at Liostasi and would come back in a heartbeat! The view and sunsets were unreal and the staff was so kind and helpful! We also did the cooking class with the owner and it was so fun! The food was so delicious! We also loved how easy it was to get to and from the ferry as well as walking into the village. We did go during the quiet season, so it was not a party town, which was really nice!

This is really well maintained and well run hotel. The room was spacious and well decorated, with a great outside space a wonderful view. It had all the amenities you would need. The pool area is beautiful with a great bar and different seating areas. The service was welcoming and helpful. All the staff were friendly and authentic. We had dinner at Grandma's, which was AMAZING. Really good food, not cheap, but it was high quality and innovative. The centre of Ios is quite compact and the hotel is well situated to walk down to the port or up to the Chora so the location is very good. It is also slightly outside the hustle and bustle, but near enough when you want to be in it. We would happily return !

Staying here was the highlight of the summer for me. It relay felt like holiday! It really starts from the moment you drive into the parking area, which was very well looked after and the baby olive trees on the wall is such a nice touch. If I think of Liostasi, words such as civilisation, carefully thought out places from the tiniest to the mightiest detail. We stayed in in the biggest suite available and the room was modern, stylish and offered the latest advances of mirror / glass tech and combined the bathroom and living room spaces perfectly, not to mention to private pool that comes with Room 25. The Team members were very warm, polite and welcoming with local intel (Anastasia is a marvellous asset of the front of house Team). Psathi definitely a stand out beach location. As much as I enjoyed having beef and goat at Grandma's (restaurant) somehow the sourdough the kitchen made is definitely a stand out item on the menu and so hugely underrated. The pool was excellent for relaxation and the DJ from midday until midnight with appropriate music for the time of the day. One of my favourite aspects of the hotel that every day when coming back from an adventure from the beach.. it was not just a hotel, but a home that welcomed you with everything that 5 Star Lux Hotel should have! I've never felt the need to leave a TripAdvisor review, but the Liostasi Hotel compelled me to make an exception. My friend and I, both 25-year-old guys from Toronto, were staying at a hotel two blocks away when we decided to dine at Grandma's restaurant (the restaurant in the Liostasi). At dinner, we were captivated by the impeccable service, outstanding food (the best meal we had in Greece—I highly recommend the beef cheek), and the beautiful property. Impressed, we asked the concierge for a tour of the hotel and the available rooms after our meal. The concierge graciously showed us three different suites, and we decided on the Junior Suite with linen sheets (you can select your sheets, which is a nice touch). We were so enamored with the Liostasi that we walked back to our old hotel and informed them we were checking out early. Despite having to pay for an additional two nights at our previous hotel, we didn’t care—we wanted to be at the Liostasi. The next morning, when we returned for check-in, the Liostasi staff surprised us with a discounted rate and a complimentary upgrade to a Panoramic Suite. The suite was stunning. The service continued to impress throughout our stay. At breakfast, the waiters memorized our orders, so when we arrived the next day, they recognized us and asked if we wanted our "usual," which we did. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering both a buffet that featured tons of ready to eat items, with the option to also order a variety of gourmet à la carte and hot items from the chef, all complimentary, and tasty. We spent one of our days lounging by the meticulously maintained pool. The staff was exceptionally attentive, immediately tidying and restoring sunbeds to pristine condition as soon as guests left. On the morning of our departure, unbeknownst to us, the concierge arranged for a private shuttle to take us directly from the hotel to the ferry. Our driver arrived in a brand-new Mercedes SUV. We hadn’t requested this service, nor did we know it existed, but the concierge at the hotel coordinated it—and covered the cost too. The facilities and the rooms were exceptional, but the staff and service were what truly set this place apart. They were the most attentive, accommodating, friendly, and thoughtful hotel staff I've ever encountered; they could teach a masterclass. When I share stories of my travels throughout Europe, the Liostasi Hotel in Ios is always at the top of the list, thanks to the staff who made our stay so special. I’ll remember this hotel for a long time and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be treated like a VIP.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was excellent. Property has a great vibe. Rooms were sleek with great air conditioning and super comfortable bed. Location of the hotel is 5 mins to town. Staff arranged everything for us. Food at the hotel was great. Highly recommend.
