⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calilo, Ios – A Dreamlike Experience Beyond Words From the very start, Calilo gave us an experience we will never forget. The pick-up from the port was exceptional 🚐✨ – a luxurious van that immediately set the tone for the days to come. (Pictures to follow 📸). The moment we stepped into the property, it felt like stepping into another dimension – mesmerising, intriguing, UNIQUE, and magical all at once. 🌸 At the gate, we were greeted warmly by Yannos, who explained everything to us while offering a refreshing welcome drink with delicious snacks. 🥂 Elle took care of us at the table – she was simply super awesome, genuine, and incredibly helpful. We ended up chatting and laughing so much with her that it felt like we were amongst friends. 💙 We had booked a 2-bedroom suite, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to the 3-bedroom “Journey of Love” suite – what a blessing! 🙏 Though we thought it might not suit us as two couples, fate (moíra) had other plans. Staying in this suite felt like a dream come true. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Pathos, also created by the same visionary. There, we had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Vassiliki Petridou – the brilliant, genuine, life-filled soul behind both Calilo and Pathos (and many other gems on Ios). Our conversation lasted only a few minutes, but her warmth and energy will leave a lifelong impression. 🌟 Her kindness went far beyond words. It was my friend’s birthday, and when we returned from Pathos, we found a handwritten card and a thoughtful book waiting in our suite 🎁📖 – even though the property is a 45-minute drive away. We later learned that she had personally called the manager several times to check on us! She also gifted our wives a beautiful silk set with several items inside – a gesture of generosity and filoxenía (hospitality) that touched our hearts deeply. Calilo currently has just 36 rooms, each one completely different and filled with the creativity (dhimioúrgia) and optimism of its designer. We even had the privilege of seeing one of the 1-bedroom suites, and it too was absolutely magical. ✨ Waking up to the sunrise (ílios) from our villa balcony was an unforgettable moment 🌅 – a peaceful, almost spiritual way to start the day. With heavy hearts 💔, we bid farewell to this paradise – our “final destination” before Athens and then home. But as the Greeks say, “Mέχρι να ξανασυναντηθούμε” (Until we meet again) – Calilo, thank you for giving us memories we will cherish forever. 💫 Efcharistó, Calilo. You are truly beyond words.

Our stay at Calilo was indeed truly fantastic from start to finish. The outstanding suite was "of another world", offering great comfort, an unique immersion into beauty and design, and breathtaking views to Papas beach and the blue Aegean. Furthermore, every member of the team was very friendly, attentive and professional, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The resort facilities were excellent, blending luxury with inspirational original design and good taste. The beach was absolutely stunning, with pristine waters that felt like paradise and outstanding beach beds. The gym is top class! Overall appreciation: SOBERB, really TOP – a perfect blend of beauty, service, and relaxation.

This isn’t just a resort—it’s a living work of art. From the moment we arrived, we felt the love. Our lovely concierge Sandy welcomed us with open arms, guiding us through the magical entrance and sharing the soulful story behind Calilo. We were already filled with emotion and gratitude—and that was before we even saw our villa! We stayed in the Moon Wake 2-Bedroom Villa, and it was next-level amazing—like a luxury apartment carved into paradise. George at the front desk and his team were outstanding, ensuring we had everything we needed with warmth and genuine care. The restaurant staff were wonderful from start to finish. The breakfast spread was incredible, and both lunch and dinner offered delicious options—the local fish was especially fresh and flavorful. Don’t miss the gym and spa! Book the Lume Lume Hawaiian treatment—it’s so much more than a massage; it was a truly spiritual experience. I honestly can’t say enough. My now fiancé booked Calilo for us and planned our engagement to be within the hotel grounds. I can wholeheartedly say I have never experienced a hotel like it. From the minute we arrived off the ferry from Santorini we were greeted by hotel staff to drove us to the hotel (45 min drive). The views to the hotel are breathtaking. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Calilo's hosts who explained about the hotel, gave us a complimentary drink and some nibbles whilst we waited for our baggage to be taken to our rooms. Our host explained the meaning behind the artwork (all being hand crafted by the owner) and things we could do throughout our time at the hotel. We stayed in the Oasis suite, which overlooks the main pool area, and included our own 3 private pools. The beach is less than a minutes walk. Whenever we ordered room service the drinks were delivered through an outside door near the pool area, so staff didn't enter the room, and didn't walk past the main entrance which overlooks the pool. Everything felt very personal and private. The beach is immaculately well kept and the sea is your typical gorgeous crystal blue Greek sea. Thanks to our suite booking, we didn't have to make a reservation at the beach and we had our own cabana. However, although most rooms were booked when we were there, we didn't find it overwhelmingly busy and there were only 4 other parties on the beach with us - all with sufficient distance between us. Staff can't do enough to help you. In fact, when we went from the bar to the games room, staff would run over before we'd gotten up to follow us with our drinks. Prior to our proposal (which was a private fine dining meal situated above the spa, overlooking the mountains with an infinity pool infant of us), my fiancé gave staff the ring box, in his words "so that I wouldn't see it in his pocket". Upon return after the proposal every staff member we walked past congratulated us, everyone stopped to look at the ring, and we were provided with drinks at the bar. The cocktail connoisseur at the bar (I forgot his name) created handcrafted cocktails for us that weren't on the menu and explained the reasonings behind his menu. They are all inspired by people and places he's been to, and each drink compliments a cigar or a food choice. His partner, who works at Calilo, is also lovely. We had an amazing time and plan to come back next year. Thank you for making this trip so special for us!

Stayed in the serenity suit for 3 nights most beautiful room me and my wife have stayed in! We came here for our honeymoon and when we arrived to our room they had gave us two bottles of champagne as a gesture which we thought was really nice going that extra mile! As I said the room the serenity suit It was that good we didn’t leave it to see the rest of the hotel until the second day! the staff at this hotel are amazing an lovely and friendly people every single one of them cannot do enough to make your stay more enjoyable! If you want a unique experience then this is the hotel for you! As I know the hotel will read our review thanks again to every member of staff for making our stay that much better!

Swimming pool cold, wind, swing not comfortable , biggest issue is food poison! I had free breakfast and couldn't touch anything ! Teenagers damm rude, never see this guy before and he smash on table mine inflatable dinosaur because he don't know how to do it, nobody really listened to me before I speak English, the biggest issue is they lied about butler ! He isn't your private butler like he said he isn't to provide me service only to tell me what for dinner and to book helicopter !!! That's it and I should pay if I want few photos taken ! For 1000 per night totally scam !!!!!!
